If only this gasoline-powered laptop were real

Spotted on the Springfield, Missouri Facebook Marketplace, this unusual vintage Dell laptop has an Intel Core 2 duo processor, 2GB of RAM, and 120GB hard drive, and Windows XP. Justifying the $850 price tag, perhaps, is an unusual power supply: a 2-stroke engine. The seller demands cash, but reassures potential buyers that it "starts easy." [via]

One of the kind gasoline powered laptop. Runs on 2-stroke engine. Approximately 1.5 hours runtime on a full tank. Perfect for off-grid computing.

Sadly, a close look at the photos shows that AI still can't rotate shapes in its head. The smallest way to actually do this, I would think, would be with one of these satchel-sized Honda inverter generators. Check out the Source Gas Generator, using camping gas instead.

You laugh now, but after the apocalypse leaves us in the world of Mad Max, where all that remains are 1973 Ford Falcon V8s and the fossil fuel industry, only people with one of these will still be playing Sid Meier's Civilization II!

The top comment on one Reddit thread: "Wish it had an SSD instead, HDDs are so noisy."
