Upcoming shooter Project TH no longer confirmed for Xbox Game Pass

Evr Studio has clarified that Project TH has not been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass and that it is only in "active discussions" with Microsoft over a deal.

According to the game's director, an Xbox Game Pass launch for Project TH is "one of the options," but the studio is in discussions with "several other platforms and publishers," so a deal hasn't been made yet.

Project TH might not launch into Xbox Game Pass as previously thought

Last week, we reported that Evr Studio's upcoming third-person shooter Project TH would launch into Xbox Game Pass. At the time, the developer's website listed Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass as launch platforms, but it appears to have been an error. The website has since been updated, listing only Xbox, PS5, Steam, and Epic Games as launch platforms.

In a statement provided to TrueAchievements, game director Min Dong Joon clarified that Evr Studio is currently only discussing the possibility of a Game Pass day one release and that a deal to bring the shooter to the service has not been finalized.

"We are in active discussions with Microsoft regarding platform deals and receiving offers from several other platforms and publishers. While Game Pass day one is one of the options, we want to make it clear that no decisions have been finalized as of now," Min Dong Joon says. "Given the interest from players and ongoing discussions with platform and publisher representatives, I felt it was important to ensure accurate information is provided."

If this is your first time hearing about Project TH, it's a cinematic third-person action-adventure game being developed using Unreal Engine 5, and the trailers we've seen so far look spectacular. Based on Seok Jung-hyun's Webtoon Shaman, it follows the story of three characters wrapped up in a terrorist threat against the Unified Nation of Korea sometime in the future, using real-time full 3D technology for an immersive shooter experience.
