In the luxury segment, new launches included BMW X6 (M60i xDrive), Mini Countryman C and Mercedes-Benz S-Class Hybrid. In July, saw the Seltos getting new top variants and the launch of Skoda Kodiaq RS. There are several other new launches planned this month.
Renault Kwid facelift
Scheduled for a launch today, 3rd July 2026, Renault Kwid facelift is expected to get significant updates. Exterior design and styling could be similar to the Renault Kwid E-Tech sold in global markets. Inside, Kwid facelift could borrow the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the new-gen Duster. This could be paired with Google built-in services as well.
Other possibilities include features like keyless entry, push-button start, all-four power windows, cruise control, steering mounted controls and rear AC vents. In terms of performance, the powertrain options are expected to be carried over. Renault Kwid utilizes a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 68 PS and 91 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. CNG option could be offered with the Kwid facelift at the dealer level.
Maruti Brezza facelift
Scheduled for launch on 23rd July, Maruti Brezza facelift might have new equipment and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine option borrowed from Fronx. Existing Brezza is offered with a 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid engine, which generates 103 PS and 139 Nm. The 1.0-litre turbo unit makes 100 PS and 147.6 Nm onboard the Fronx.
Another key update for Brezza facelift could be an underbody CNG tank setup. This will be something similar to that of Maruti Victoris. While it was speculated that Brezza facelift could get ADAS, it may not be the case due to pricing concerns. Inside, key updates could include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, front ventilated seats and a powered driver’s seat.
Nissan Tekton
Part of Nissan’s renewed strategy for the Indian market, the new Tekton is scheduled for launch on 9th July. Tekton has a tempting design, which could work in its favour in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. Nissan Tekton will face some serious competition from rivals like Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra and Kia Seltos.
Tekton is built on the same platform as the new-gen Duster. While it has a distinct design, powertrain options will be the same as the new Duster. Tekton will have engine options of a 100 PS 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 163 PS 1.3-litre turbo petrol. A strong hybrid powertrain comprising a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will be introduced at a later date.
New-gen Hilux
While a specific date has not been revealed, the new-gen Hilux is expected to be launched in India in the second half of July. This will be the 9th-gen model, which is sold as Hilux Travo across ASEAN markets. New Hilux has received comprehensive updates across its exterior and interior. Key features include sleeker LED headlights, a honeycomb grille, new alloys and chunkier bumpers.
Inside, the new Hilux has two 12.3-inch displays, a new angular dashboard, twin gloveboxes and a new steering wheel. Physical buttons and dials have been provided for easy access. New Hilux has ventilated front seats, wireless charging, dual zone climate control and a 360 degree camera setup. Powering the new Hilux is the same 204 PS 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine, offered with transmission choices of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
Honda ZR-V
Bookings for Honda ZR-V have already commenced and prices are expected to be announced in July 2026. ZR-V will be imported in India as a CBU, benefiting from the government’s policy that does not require local homologation for imports up to 2,500 units. Honda ZR-V has a striking presence, featuring sleek LED headlamps and DRLs and a vertically slatted grille.
Inside, the SUV has premium features such as genuine leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. A comprehensive range of ADAS features are available. Honda ZR-V is powered by the e:HEV (full hybrid) powertrain, which combines a 2.0-litre direct injection engine and an electric motor. Combined output is 184 PS and 315 Nm.
