Kia Carens Clavis CNG, Carnival Hybrid Pre-Bookings Open – Launch Soon

At the launch of Sorento for the Indian market, Kia India also showcased Carens Clavis CNG, Carnival Hybrid and Syros Flex Fuel. Now, Sorento was launched the same day, but Carens Clavis CNG (along with Carens CNG) and Carnival Hybrid are soon to launch. The company just commenced pre-bookings of Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Hybrid.

Carens Clavis CNG, Carens CNG Pre-Bookings Open

After showcasing them alongside Sorento, Kia India is set to launch the Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG in the country. Pre-bookings for both these vehicles have started and CNG equipment will be fitted right in the production line at Kia’s manufacturing facilities (factory-fitted kit), mated to the 1.5L NA Petrol engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

It has to be noted that Carens CNG was on offer before, but the CNG equipment was fitted at dealer level and was not a factory-fitted kit. That changes with the soon-to-launch Carens CNG. Carens Clavis CNG will also get factory-fitted CNG kit as well. Both MPVs will get a single 60L CNG tank in the boot with a new covering flap.

Pre-bookings have started via authorised dealer network and deliveries and price announcement will happen soon. Carens CNG will be offered in Premium (O) trim and Carens Clavis CNG in HTE and HTE (O) trims. For commercial buyers, Carens CNG will be made available with M-Drive 6MT trim and Carens Clavis CNG with HTM 6MT trim.

The combination of three-row seating and conventional factory fitted CNG kit is likely to resonate well with buyers. Attributes like 16-inch wheels, front and rear disc brakes, modified suspension to account for CNG equipment, modified engine to run on CNG bi-fuel system, a 4.2-inch colour TFT MID with CNG DTE logic and other notable features will be made available.

Carnival Limousine Hybrid Pre-Bookings Open

The only luxury Diesel minivan on sale in India, the Kia Carnival, has just been showcased with a Hybrid powertrain option. This will be a good news for Delhi NCR residents looking to buy a luxurious minivan / MPV from Kia. Carnival is known for its space, luxury, creature comforts, practicality and versatility. It has to be noted that Carnival Hybrid gets the same 1.6T HEV 6AT strong hybrid engine as Sorento with slightly different tuning.

With the Hybrid powertrain, Kia Carnival’s appeal will be expanded further. Carnival Hybrid will be based on Limousine+ trim, offering attributes like 18-inch wheels, active air flaps, virtual engine sounds, smart air purifier with AQI display, seat back tray tables with wireless charging, powered lounging recliner seats with extending calf support, ambient lighting and more.
