Tata Avinya Electric SUV Dashboard Design Patent Leaks
by Akshay Kulkarni · RushLaneTata Motors has been working to expand its lineup to incorporate new models and nameplates. We saw the revival of the iconic Sierra nameplate and soon, we will witness the birth of Avinya brand. It will be a whole lineup of its own and will be positioned as Tata Motors’ luxury vehicle division with its own logo and design language.
Avinya Fastback is expected to be the first of the bunch with a futuristic design and aesthetics. The interiors will be outlandish and will come with an air of sophistication. Some interior sketches of mockups have been revealed too. Design patents of Tata Avinya Electric SUV’s dashboard have been leaked now.
Tata Avinya Dashboard Design Patent
When launched, Avinya Fastback EV is expected to be the first one to roll off the production line, followed by an SUV, which is a production-spec version of Avinya SUV concept showcased at 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. It features Range Rover inspired silhouette along with a striking sloping roof line to this SUV for that all-important luxury car aesthetic Tata Motors is going for.
The leaked dashboard design patents of upcoming Tata Avinya EVs shows the company’s unique design direction with respect to Avinya brand. There is a new Tata logo for Avinya series and we can see this logo on the dashboard almost across the width of this SUV. Two lines form a T in the middle.
There is a curvature on top of this dashboard and it sort of reminds us of a Jaguar XJ. Steering wheel is unique to Avinya range and we can see a minimalist air with it, featuring fully touch based steering controls. The new Tiago EV is the first Tata vehicle to not feature a Tata logo, but Avinya’s steering does not even get the Tata branding, which is replaced by AVINYA lettering.
The are two mirrored steering stalks, fully flat, and one of those is the gear selector. Behind this steering wheel is a wide instrument cluster. It is a sleek unit and is not very tall. The dashboard is minimal and it looks like it could be fully soft touch. One central infotainment screen takes centre stage and climate controls and other important functions are embedded into this screen.
When will it launch?
Tata Motors is expected to debut the Avinya brand some time this year (2026). As per rumours, leaks and speculations, Tata will launch Avinya fastback first and then Avinya SUV. Both of them are expected to be positioned on Jaguar’s EMA platform as part of a major technology transfer within Tata Group.
Avinya lineup will be positioned as Tata’s futuristic luxurious flagship models, above the current ICE and EV models on sale in India. For Avinya lineup, Tata is highly localising EMA platform which should reduce costs. Around 24,000 units of Avinya per annum seems to be the production goal.
