New 2027 Honda CB300F Twister Debuts – Can Run On Petrol, Ethanol
by Akshay Kulkarni · RushLaneRemember the Honda CB300F which was Initially launched in August 2022 in India? It was subjected to heavy price cut and then it was offered with Flex Fuel capability and even received a price cut as part of the GST 2.0 tax revisions. However, the model didn’t receive the same level of demand that Honda was expecting.
This led to Honda discontinuing the model in India, despite the lightness it brought to the table. Now, a new iteration of this model has just been launched in few Latin American market. Called 2027 Honda CB300F Twister, it looks compelling enough for a re-launch for the Indian market at an appropriate price tag to rival the 250cc naked motorcycles in the country.
New 2027 Honda CB300F Twister Debuts
Where pricing is concerned, Honda CB300F Twister starts from BRL 26,880 in Brazil, which is approximately Rs 4.93 lakh in India. There is no official confirmation by Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) about a possible resurgence in the Naked 250cc to 300cc segment, but we are hopeful. Rebel 300 cruiser along with XR300 Rally and XR300L ADVs have been announced for the country, but are yet to launch.
We wish Honda comes back to this 250cc to 300cc sporty naked motorcycle segment with CB300F Twister with Flex Fuel technology. If launched, it will take on rivals like Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM 250 Duke and Hero Xtreme 250R. Big strength of Honda CB300F Twister is that it is light in weight at just 142 kg.
With the new and updated CB300F Twister, Honda is offering revised aesthetics along with new and muscular tank design. The tank shrouds are all new and they lend a macho appeal to this otherwise lean motorcycle. Headlight cluster has been revised as well, while still featuring LEDs. There seems to be two variants – ABS and S.
What’s New?
The former is offered in either Red or Black colour options, while the latter comes with a multi-shade colourway with Blue being the dominant colour. USD telescopic front forks continue along with front and rear disc brakes with Dual-Channel ABS, LED lighting, fully digital LCD cluster and HSTC (Honda Selectable Traction Control), among other features. There’s also a removable rear cowl if you’re riding solo.
With the new 2027 Honda CB300F Twister, the company has added HISS (Honda Ignition Security System), which is a fancy term for engine immobilizer with a chip in the key. The LCD cluster is the same as the one offered in India with CB300F and if Honda considers launching CB300F Twister in India, a TFT instrument cluster would be nice.
Where powertrains are concerned, CB300F continues with a 293.5cc single cylinder, SOHC oil cooled engine. When run on Petrol, it makes 24.5 bhp and with Ethanol, it makes 24.7 bhp. Torque is 25.6 Nm with Petrol and 26.2 Nm with Ethanol. 6-speed gearbox and 14.2L fuel tank are notable too.
