New Tata Tiago Pure+ Mid Variant Walkaround – Most VFM?
by Akshay Kulkarni · RushLaneTata Motors has just launched a major facelift to Tiago hatchback, which is the spiritual successor of Indica. We say major facelift because Tata gave it a subtle refresh just last year. Prices for new Tiago start from Rs 4.69 lakh (Ex-sh) and variant lineup has been stretched across Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+ A, Creative and Creative+ trims.
Right in the middle of this variant lineup is Pure+ trim, which starts from Rs 5.99 lakh (Ex-sh) for the manual variant. It sort of strikes the right balance between price and equipment and is offered in a wide range of powertrain choices including Petrol MT, Petrol AMT, CNG MT and CNG AMT.
Tata Tiago Pure+ Mid-Spec Variant
In a recent video by Fuel Injected, we can see a detailed walkaround of Tata Tiago facelift Pure+ variant. It can be one of those VFM variants which will end up being the highest volume generators for that model. In terms of equipment, it offers just enough for most buyers to consider it. There is a remote flip key with Tiago Pure+ and a manual key slot.
On the outside, we can see Tiago Pure+ trim offering a host of attributes. These include 14-inch steel wheels with black wheel covers, multi-barrel reflector halogen headlights, body coloured bumpers and door handles, spoiler, shark fin antenna, black finish on powered ORVMs with LED turn indicators, rear de-fogger, LED tail lights, black plaque connecting tail lights and more.
There are two parking sensors at the back along with a reversing camera which sends feed directly to the swanky 10.2-inch free-standing infotainment screen which also gets adaptive guidelines. This screen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is a new steering wheel with matte finish and steering-mounted audio controls along with the same LCD instrument cluster as top variant.
Pure+ trim gets the same dashboard as top variant with fabric inserts. Even the seats are identical with added padding on side bolsters and under-thigh support. There is an updated centre console with placeholders for two smartphones. Below this panel, there are two USB Type-C ports, one of which is a 65W fast charger.
Features, Equipment
At the rear, it gets the same seats as top model, but misses out on rear AC vents. Safety-wise, 6 airbags, hill hold, iTPMS, ESP and other features are present. Manually-dimmable IRVMs, cooled glovebox, new gear selector, new door trims and other elements from top variants can be seen in Pure+ as well. Pure+ A trim adds auto climate control.
The same 1.2L NA Petrol 3-cylinder engine can be seen in all variants of 2026 Tata Tiago. This engine is compatible with CNG fuel too, and Tata offers CNG-equipped variants under the i-CNG umbrella with twin cylinders that offers a usable boot, when compared to the massive single-cylinder CNG tanks.
