New Hero Xpulse Scrambler 421

Based on Hero’s upcoming 421cc adventure platform, the leaked scrambler concept reveals retro-inspired styling, wire-spoke wheels and a liquid-cooled engine

Hero MotoCorp’s EICMA 2026 showcase has delivered an early surprise, with images of a new Xpulse Scrambler concept emerging from the show floor ahead of its official unveiling. Shared by XtremeAnkit, the photographs reveal a distinctive scrambler believed to be based on the upcoming Xpulse 421 platform.

Xpulse Branding, Scrambler Identity

The concept wears prominent Xpulse tank badges, with “Scrambler Concept” lettering visible beneath them. Its red fuel tank features diagonal silver graphics, matched by a red high-mounted front mudguard. Silver side panels, gold-finished wheel rims and an orange-and-grey seat add contrast.

Compared to the camouflaged Xpulse 421 adventure motorcycle seen testing earlier, the scrambler takes a less enclosed approach. There is minimal bodywork around the engine, leaving the frame, radiator and mechanical components clearly visible.

A long single-piece seat flows into a short tail section, while broad metal footpegs and a wide handlebar reinforce its rough-road positioning. The overall appearance combines traditional scrambler cues with contemporary detailing.

Distinctive Headlamp And Tall Windscreen

One of the most noticeable features is the rounded headlamp housing with an H-like lighting signature. Two vertically arranged rectangular lighting elements sit within a bright surrounding outline, giving the concept a distinctive front-end identity.

Above the headlamp sits a tall, narrow tinted windscreen. Large handguards, finished in red and grey, provide another link to the Xpulse family’s adventure roots. A small metal rack is also visible above the fuel tank area, adding a functional-looking detail to the show motorcycle. Whether this arrangement or the tall screen would feature on a potential production version remains unknown.

USD Forks, Spoke Wheels And Block-Pattern Tyres

The leaked images reveal upside-down front forks, substantial fork guards and gold-finished wire-spoke wheels. Block-pattern tyres suggest an intention to balance paved-road use with loose-surface capability. Wheel sizes, suspension travel, ground clearance, seat height and kerb weight cannot be established from these photographs.

A front disc brake and ABS tone ring are visible, although the complete braking specification has not been announced. The motorcycle also features a rear monoshock, an engine bash plate and a large right-side exhaust with a silver heat shield.

Expected To Share Xpulse 421 Engine

The exposed engine and large radiator point to a liquid-cooled powertrain, consistent with the new platform under development for the Xpulse 421. Our earlier report covered the adventure motorcycle undergoing high-altitude testing at Khardung La in June 2026, following Hero’s preview sketches at EICMA 2024. That motorcycle is expected to use a 421cc single-cylinder engine, with estimated output in the region of 40–45 hp.

A Second Direction For Hero’s New Platform

The concept indicates how Hero could extend its larger Xpulse platform beyond a dedicated adventure motorcycle. A scrambler derivative would give the company another route into the growing mid-capacity segment, with a different appeal to riders seeking simpler bodywork and retro-inspired styling.

For now, production plans, launch timing and pricing remain unannounced. Hero’s official EICMA presentation is expected to clarify the concept’s role alongside the production-spec Xpulse 421 and reveal more about the company’s new platform.
