2026 Renault Kwid Facelift Launch 3rd July – New Features, Colours Expected

One of the stalwarts of mini SUV segment, Renault Kwid, is set for a major transformation in the Indian market. Kwid has been set for a major update and is now said to launch on July 3rd of 2026. When launched, the 2026 Kwid facelift will take on rivals like Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and the likes.

2026 Renault Kwid Facelift

Not a lot is known about the update Renault is about to give to its entry-level offering, the Kwid. However, speculations suggest that a similar design as Dacia Spring EV sold in global markets is expected with 2026 Renault Kwid facelift. This design transformation was previously expected to debut with electric version of Kwid.

The same makeover is now speculated to debut for Indian market with Kwid ICE facelift. This is an extensive sheet metal update and Renault might refer to it as a new generation rather than a facelift. We can see sheet metal changes to the front fascia along with the rear quarter panel where the new model has wider haunches.

More creases can be seen on the doors, replacing the previous curves, making the overall appearance more European and sophisticated. At the front, we should expect a new fascia with revised aesthetics. Fascia is a little flatter in comparison to current model and there seems to be a flatter bonnet as well.

The LED DRLs are now Y-shaped in the same split setup as before and redesigned headlights will be positioned below them. Similar Y-shaped design for rear tail lights and a black plaque connecting both tail lights is likely too. There is a new rear spoiler, redesigned body and wheel-arch claddings, new bumpers and new wheel design.

Same Infotainment Screen as Duster?

Historically, Kwid has had the same infotainment screen as its bigger brother, the Duster. Now that there is a new Duster in India and a new Kwid incoming, one could speculate that new Kwid facelift might get the same 10.1-inch infotainment screen as Duster. Previous spy shots confirm the same too and there is a chance of it getting the Google built-in services too.

Auto AC, all-four power windows, keyless go and push-button start, steering mounted controls, cruise control, rear AC vents and LED headlights are some of the features Renault might consider offering with the new Kwid facelift which is set to launch on July 3rd, 2026.

Where powertrains are concerned, the same 1.0L 3-cylinder NA Petrol Energy engine is expected to perform duties in the upcoming 2026 Renault Kwid facelift. There could be a CNG version at launch too. This 68 bhp engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox in the current model.
