Kia India closed calendar year 2025 on a strong note, reporting total wholesale volumes of 280,286 units, marking a 15% year-on-year growth over 245,000 units sold in CY2024. The performance reflects steady demand across Kia’s portfolio, supported by product updates, improved customer reach and favourable market conditions.

Best-ever December performance

December 2025 turned out to be Kia India’s best-ever month since inception, with wholesales of 18,659 units. This translated into a sharp 105% year-on-year growth compared to 8,957 units sold in December 2024. The strong finish was driven by improved consumer sentiment, festive demand spillover and sustained traction for Kia’s core models.

Kia Sonet continued to be a key volume driver for the brand, crossing the 100,000-unit sales milestone for the second consecutive year. The compact SUV, along with Seltos, contributed significantly to overall volumes. Other models including Kia Carens, Carens Clavis and the Carens Clavis EV also witnessed positive customer response during the year. Meanwhile, premium offerings such as Carnival Limousine and EV6 continued to attract buyers in the luxury segment.

During CY2025, Kia India expanded its nationwide presence to 821 touchpoints across 369 cities. The wider network is expected to enhance accessibility for customers while supporting sales growth through a stronger sales and service ecosystem, especially in emerging markets.

Outlook for 2026

Commenting on the performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing said, “2025 was a year of consistent and sustainable growth for Kia India, driven by strategic product introductions like the Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV, trim optimization across key mass-selling models including the Seltos, Carens and Sonet; operational efficiencies, and continuous improvements across sales, service, and customer engagement. Supported by favourable macroeconomic conditions and government policies, including a consumer-friendly GST framework, these initiatives reinforced positive consumer sentiment.” He further added, “Looking ahead to 2026, Kia India remains focused on delivering value-led offerings and strengthening the brand ownership experience across its product portfolio to drive steady, sustainable growth in a dynamic market environment.”

Kia will announce the pricing of new Seltos tomorrow, which will kickstart their 2026 innings in India officially. Over the course of 2026, Kia has plans to launch multiple new cars as well as updates of existing cars. With a strengthened product lineup, expanded network and a clear roadmap, Kia India enters 2026 with a solid foundation to pursue steady, responsible and sustainable growth in a competitive market.
