Ampere Xyber Concept Electric Bike Patented – 200 km Range

The electric 2W vertical of Greaves Electric Mobility, Ampere, is stepping up their game in the electric scooter segment. The company recently celebrated an important milestone of 4 lakh Ampere electric scooters rolled out. The Reo VYB EV was launched, Magnus Neo was launched and G Max was updated with new connected features.

Now the company is venturing into electric motorcycle space as well and showcased Xyber concept at 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. Now, the same Ampere Xyber has been patented in India suggesting that production-spec version of Xyber is vastly similar to the concept model showcased last year.

Ampere Xyber Concept Electric Bike

The patented design looks almost similar to what we saw last year with the Ampere Xyber concept. Ampere seems to be throwing everything at the Xyber and the design department looks like they put extra love into Xyber electric bike. It is a wild and futuristic street naked bike, but the concept bike looked like it could be mass produced.

Since there is no fuel tank, Ampere Xyber comes with a single-piece body panel that stretches from the front and goes all the way till the rear subframe. We can see muscular tank shrouds (or not) with the Ampere logo and AMPERE lettering We can see similar brandings on the flyscreen above the headlight which has winglet like elements with turn indicators.

Speaking of the headlight, it is an all-LED unit and the concept had two dials flanking it which could control the height of low beam and high beam. We can see Indian tricolour insignia here too, which suggests a high amount of localisation. Charging port is on the top where fuel filler cap would be in an ICE motorcycle. Front fender is quite short, which looks interesting.

Below, we can see a futuristic casing for the battery, flanked by two heat sinks styled like air intakes. This suggests liquid cooling with the battery and motor, promising up to 10 kW of power (13.5 bhp). There are split seats, split grab rails, single piece street-style handlebar and then X-shaped LED tail lights that do not connect in the middle.

What to expect?

The concept bike had a small pill-shaped horizontal TFT instrument cluster which supports Bluetooth connectivity and Google Maps. We can also see premium components with Ampere Xyber too. USD forks at the front, rear mono-shock, front and rear disc brakes, fat tyres and more. These premium components might make it to the production version as well.

While not a lot is known about Ampere Xyber, a 200 km range from a large sizeable battery pack along with a 10 KW mid mounted motor driving rear wheel via a chain drive are likely. When launched, it will take on other electric motorcycles from brands like Revolt, Oben and even Ola.
