Top 10 Two Wheelers Aug 2026 – Splendor, Activa, Shine, Jupiter, Pulsar, Access, Apache, Chetak

India’s top 10 selling two-wheelers registered combined sales of 13,28,231 units in August 2026, up 8.41% from 12,25,232 units a year earlier. This represents a volume increase of 1,02,999 units, with eight of the ten models recording positive growth.
Top 10 Two Wheelers Aug 2026
Hero Splendor topped the chart with 3,53,842 units, registering 13.52% growth over 3,11,698 units in August 2025. It added 42,144 units, the largest absolute volume gain among the top 10, and accounted for 26.64% of their combined sales. Honda Activa followed with 2,55,815 units, up 4.73% from 2,44,271 units.
Honda Shine secured third position with 1,80,626 units, growing 10.16% over 1,63,963 units a year earlier. TVS Jupiter ranked fourth with 1,47,450 units, recording 3.54% growth. These four nameplates remained comfortably ahead of the rest, with each crossing the one lakh mark.
Chetak Surges, Pulsar And HF Deluxe Decline
Bajaj Pulsar finished fifth with 97,839 units, down 10.55% from 1,09,382 units. Bajaj has updated some of their Pulsar motorcycles, while others are expected to get update soon. Hero HF Deluxe recorded the steepest decline on the list, falling 22.25% to 69,794 units from 89,762 units. Suzuki Access was close behind HF Deluxe, with just 236 units separating the two. Access sales increased 14.39% to 69,558 units. TVS Apache also registered healthy growth, rising 22.39% to 55,123 units. Earlier today TVS has launched the updated Apache range with new top variant and more features.

Bajaj Chetak stood out with sales of 52,248 units, compared to 14,014 units in August 2025. Its 272.83% growth translated into an additional 38,234 units, making it the second-largest contributor to incremental volumes after Splendor. TVS XL 100 completed the top 10 with 45,936 units, up 4.67%.
Domestic Two-Wheeler Sales Cross 20 Lakh
Overall domestic two-wheeler sales reached 20,34,698 units in August 2026, up 10.46% from 18,41,954 units a year earlier. Sales also increased 5.78% over July 2026’s 19,23,483 units. Sequentially, motorcycle and scooter sales rose 5.42% and 7.21%, respectively. Moped sales declined 9.03%.
Scooters drove most of the annual volume increase. Domestic scooter sales rose 23.76% to 8,55,715 units, adding 1,64,285 units and accounting for approximately 85% of the industry’s net YoY growth. Motorcycle sales grew at a slower 2.39% to 11,33,047 units, while mopeds increased 4.67% to 45,936 units.
2W Exports Grow 28.53%
Two-wheeler exports totalled 5,55,292 units, up 28.53% from 4,32,033 units in August 2025. Motorcycle exports led this growth, increasing 33.43% to 4,86,325 units. Scooter exports rose 5.05% to 68,085 units, while moped exports fell 67.76% to 882 units.
Combined domestic sales and exports reached 25,89,990 units, registering 13.90% YoY growth and 4.53% MoM growth. Domestic scooters and motorcycle exports were the main contributors to the industry’s overall volume expansion.
