2027 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Grille Patent Leaks

Mahindra’s newly surfaced grille design follows recent Scorpio N facelift spy shots, offering another clue to the SUV’s expected styling overhaul

Mahindra has registered a new front grille design, believed to be intended for the upcoming Scorpio N facelift. The images reveal a wide grille with layered horizontal elements, providing a clearer indication of the design direction after the facelift’s camouflaged test mule was spotted earlier this month.

New Scorpio N Grille Gets Horizontal Detailing

The most noticeable feature is the arrangement of horizontal bars and shorter rectangular elements across the grille. Vertical supports sit behind these sections, creating a layered pattern within a broad outer frame.

The grille has a gently raised upper edge, angled sides and rounded lower corners. A prominent central panel narrows towards the bottom, providing a mounting area for the Mahindra Twin Peaks logo we saw in the Lifestyler Pickup. A small circular element is also visible near the lower edge of the central panel. This appears consistent with provision for a front camera.

Follows Scorpio N Facelift Spy Shots

The grille registration adds to the developments covered in our earlier report, when the Scorpio N facelift was spotted with a heavily disguised front end. That prototype used temporary circular headlamps, leaving the production lighting signature concealed.

Its doors, window line and upright body proportions remained recognisably Scorpio N, suggesting that the most extensive exterior changes could be concentrated around the front fascia. The newly surfaced grille drawings offer a detailed look at one potential component of that redesign.

Scorpio Lifestyler Connection

The earlier spy shots prompted comparisons with the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup. Mahindra’s design chief had indicated that the pickup’s styling would influence the Scorpio N and future members of the Scorpio family.

Lifestyler previewed a broader front-end treatment, slim lighting elements and a substantial bumper. The registered grille’s horizontal emphasis could fit that direction, while allowing the SUV to retain its own identity. It remains to be seen how closely the facelift follows the pickup.

Cabin Updates Also Expected

The Lifestyler’s cabin could provide further inspiration, particularly its portrait-oriented touchscreen and redesigned dashboard. A larger infotainment display, revised instrumentation and updated cabin detailing are possible for the Scorpio N facelift.

The Scorpio N facelift is expected to arrive in 2027. The existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are likely to continue, alongside manual and automatic transmission choices and diesel four-wheel-drive options.
