Hero retained its leadership in the domestic market, while TVS emerged as the highest-selling two-wheeler brand overall in June 2026, driven by strong exports

India’s top six two-wheeler manufacturers registered combined sales of 22,53,314 units in June 2026, posting a healthy 21.66% YoY growth over 18,52,076 units sold in June 2025. While domestic sales remained the largest contributor, exports continued to witness robust growth, helping brands such as TVS and Bajaj significantly improve their overall volumes.

Two Wheeler Domestic Sales June 2026 – Hero stays ahead despite decline

Combined domestic sales of the top six manufacturers stood at 17,44,010 units in June 2026, up 16.64% YoY from 14,95,168 units sold in June last year. However, sales declined 2.82% MoM from 17,94,631 units recorded in May 2026. Hero MotoCorp continued to lead the domestic market with 5,02,890 units, despite registering a 4.24% YoY and 6.31% MoM decline. Hero commanded a 28.84% market share, although the gap to Honda narrowed considerably.

Two Wheeler Sales June 2026 – Domestic

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India posted domestic sales of 4,68,956 units, growing 20.61% YoY and 2.03% MoM. Honda’s domestic market share increased to 26.89%. TVS Motor continued its strong momentum with 4,11,014 units, registering the highest growth among major manufacturers at 46.26% YoY and 6.88% MoM.

Bajaj Auto recorded domestic sales of 1,66,956 units, up 11.81% YoY, although volumes declined 20.32% compared to May 2026. Royal Enfield reported domestic sales of 1,02,930 units, crossing the one lakh mark with 33.75% YoY and 9.37% MoM growth. Suzuki Motorcycle India sold 91,264 units, improving 23.44% YoY, but recording a 17.05% MoM decline.

Two Wheeler Exports June 2026 – Bajaj retains clear lead

Combined exports of top 6 brands reached 5,09,304 units, registering a sharp 42.70% YoY increase over 3,56,908 units exported in June 2025. Exports also improved 9.29% MoM. Bajaj Auto remained the country’s largest two-wheeler exporter with 2,22,439 units, accounting for 43.68% of total exports. Bajaj posted 49.12% YoY growth and 21.10% MoM growth.

TVS Motor followed with exports of 1,54,403 units, up 47.49% YoY, although exports dipped 2.61% over May. Honda exported 59,325 units, registering 47.08% YoY growth, while Hero MotoCorp shipped 38,269 units, posting an impressive 63.33% YoY increase. Suzuki exported 23,766 units, growing 11.53% YoY, whereas Royal Enfield remained the only manufacturer to record a YoY decline, with exports falling 11.77% to 11,102 units.

Two Wheeler Overall Sales June 2026 – TVS overtakes Hero, Honda

Including domestic and exports, combined sales of the six manufacturers stood at 22,53,314 units, reflecting a 21.66% YoY increase. TVS Motor emerged as the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in June 2026 with total sales of 5,65,417 units, registering the highest growth among major brands at 46.60% YoY. TVS also recorded 4.11% MoM growth and secured a 25.09% market share.

Hero MotoCorp slipped to second with total sales of 5,41,159 units, down 2.31% YoY and 5.07% MoM, holding 24.02% market share. Honda ranked third with 5,28,281 units, recording 23.10% YoY growth and 1.83% MoM growth. Bajaj Auto sold 3,89,395 units, improving 30.46% YoY, although overall volumes dipped marginally 0.97% MoM. Suzuki reported total sales of 1,15,030 units, up 20.77% YoY, while Royal Enfield sold 1,14,032 units, registering 27.35% YoY growth.

Two Wheeler Sales Q1 FY2027 – Industry posts healthy growth

The first quarter of FY2027 also reflected healthy momentum across the industry. Combined domestic sales during Q1 FY2027 stood at 53,16,787 units, up 18.66% over 44,80,647 units sold during the same period last year. Hero MotoCorp remained the domestic leader with 15,72,107 units, followed by Honda at 14,13,539 units and TVS at 11,44,124 units. Royal Enfield recorded the highest domestic growth among the six manufacturers at 31.64%, while Suzuki posted the slowest growth at 8.08%.

On the exports front, total shipments rose to 14,53,816 units, registering a strong 39.12% YoY increase. Bajaj Auto dominated exports with 6,36,005 units, followed by TVS at 4,19,737 units. Hero MotoCorp recorded the fastest export growth at 63.33%, while Royal Enfield remained the only manufacturer to witness a decline, with exports falling 20.40% during the quarter.

Combining domestic and exports, total industry sales during Q1 FY2027 stood at 67,70,603 units, up 22.53% from 55,25,644 units in Q1 FY2026. Hero MotoCorp retained the overall quarterly leadership with 16,77,313 units, narrowly ahead of Honda at 16,11,662 units and TVS at 15,63,861 units. TVS, however, registered the highest overall growth among the top three at 26.94%, while Bajaj also posted a strong 28.85% increase, driven by robust export demand.
