Top 10 Scooters Aug 2026 – Activa, Jupiter, Access, Chetak, iQube, Ntorq, Destini, Dio, Vida

All ten scooters recorded YoY growth, with combined sales rising 19.87% to 7.17 lakh units. Chetak registered the largest volume increase

After taking a look at the top 10 two wheelers and top 10 motorcycles last month, let us now discuss India’s top 10 selling scooters. India’s top 10 selling scooters recorded combined sales of 7,16,519 units in August 2026, up 19.87% from 5,97,771 units a year earlier. Volumes increased by 1,18,748 units, with every entry registering positive growth.

Activa And Jupiter Account For 56% Of Top 10

Honda Activa topped the chart with 2,55,815 units, growing 4.73% over 2,44,271 units in August 2025. It added 11,544 units and contributed 35.70% of the top 10 total. TVS Jupiter ranked second with 1,47,450 units, up 3.54% from 1,42,411 units. Together, Activa and Jupiter sold 4,03,265 units, accounting for 56.28% of top 10 volumes.

Suzuki Access secured third position with 69,558 units, registering 14.39% growth over 60,807 units. Its increase of 8,751 units helped it retain a comfortable lead over the fourth-placed Chetak. Bajaj Chetak recorded 52,248 units, up 272.83% from 14,014 units a year earlier. It registered both the highest percentage growth and the largest absolute increase, adding 38,234 units.

TVS iQube followed with 42,882 units, growing 75.50% over 24,434 units. It added 18,448 units, the second-largest volume gain among the top 10. TVS Ntorq range ranked sixth with 40,256 units, up 32.62% from 30,355 units. Combined sales of Jupiter, iQube and Ntorq reached 2,30,588 units, giving TVS three entries among the six highest-selling scooters.

Destini 125 Grows 53%, Vida More Than Doubles

Hero Destini 125 secured seventh position with 29,737 units, registering 53.42% growth over 19,383 units. Its gain of 10,354 units placed it among the stronger growth contributors. Honda Dio range followed with 27,670 units, up 7.95% from 25,632 units. Hero Vida recorded 25,558 units, more than doubling its year-earlier tally with 108.25% growth. Suzuki Burgman completed the top 10 with 25,345 units, growing 4.77%. Just 213 units separated Burgman and Vida.

Domestic Scooter Sales Reach 8.56 Lakh

Overall domestic scooter sales stood at 8,55,715 units, up 23.76% from 6,91,430 units in August 2025. Sales also increased 7.21% over July’s 7,98,190 units. Exports totalled 68,085 units, growing 5.05% YoY, although they declined 6.94% compared with July. Combined domestic sales and exports reached 9,23,800 units, up 22.16% annually and 6.02% sequentially.
