350cc To 500cc Motorcycle Sales Aug 2026 – RE, Honda, Triumph, Bajaj, KTM, Aprilia, Kawasaki

Sales grew 19.79% YoY to 1.32 lakh units, with Royal Enfield commanding an 83.56% share and Honda more than doubling volumes

350cc–500cc motorcycle category registered domestic sales of 1,31,956 units in August 2026, up 19.79% from 1,10,158 units a year earlier. Compared to July’s 1,22,483 units, volumes increased 7.73%. Royal Enfield retained a commanding lead, while Honda and the combined Bajaj-associated brands recorded strong growth.

Classic, Bullet And Hunter Lead Model Rankings

Classic 350 remained the bestseller with 43,428 units, up 20.55% YoY and 10.79% MoM. It alone accounted for 32.91% of the category. Bullet 350 followed with 27,533 units, growing 13.83% YoY and 4.91% MoM. Both Classic and Bullet featured in the top 10 motorcycles list last month.

Hunter 350 registered 23,869 units, up 2.45% YoY and 8.34% MoM. Meteor 350 added 10,669 units, growing 19.11% over last year, although sales slipped 4.33% from July. Among Royal Enfield’s larger models, Himalayan recorded 3,068 units, increasing 8.18% YoY and 39.96% MoM. Guerrilla sales stood at 1,692 units, down 5% YoY but up 17.91% sequentially.

Honda CB350 Crosses 9,000 Units, CB500 Dispatches Begin

Honda CB350 recorded 9,052 units, growing 132.52% over 3,893 units last August and 24.07% over July. Honda has updated the lineup and dropped the H’ness name, with the reported CB350 figure covering the entire range. The newly launched Honda CB500 entered the charts with 31 units as dispatches to dealers commenced.

Triumph And KTM 350 Entries Add Volume

Triumph 350 contributed 4,723 units, while Triumph 400 added 116 units. Together, they registered 4,839 units, up 21.61% over the year-ago Triumph 400 tally. Similarly, KTM 350 and KTM 390 recorded 2,413 and 653 units, respectively. Their combined 3,066 units compared with 1,307 units a year earlier, providing a broader picture than the decline in the 390 entry alone.

Bajaj Pulsar 350/400 registered 1,712 units, up 16.23% YoY, while Dominar 350/400 grew 102.54% to 1,353 units. Both, however, declined month-on-month. Harley-Davidson X440 recorded 1,223 units, down 19.49% YoY. Aprilia RS 457 and Tuono 457 contributed 297 and 74 units, respectively, with both growing annually and sequentially. Husqvarna 401 added 23 units, while Hero Mavrick 440 recorded zero dispatches.

OEM-Wise Sales – Royal Enfield Dominates

Royal Enfield contributed 1,10,259 units, growing 13.57% over 97,085 units in August 2025. Its 83.56% share highlights the brand’s dominance, with an additional 13,174 units accounting for the largest contribution to the category’s year-on-year growth.

The combined Bajaj, KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph tally stood at 10,993 units, up 47.66% from 7,445 units, giving this grouping an 8.33% share. Honda followed with 9,083 units, growing 133.32% and accounting for 6.88%. Hero/Harley volumes declined 19.49% to 1,223 units. Aprilia grew 85.50% to 371 units, while Kawasaki recorded 27 units against 16 a year earlier.
