Next Gen Tata Nexon Interiors Leaked – Launch Likely In 2027

Tata Motors is doing much more than just overhauling their brand identity (TATA.CARS) as the company is working on a next generation version of their golden goose, the Nexon. Current version of Nexon is sort of a third facelift to OG 2017 version as they share a similar silhouette. Next Gen Nexon is more than just a major facelift with revised overall structure.

First ever test mule of next gen Nexon surfaced a few days ago and this is second recorded test mule sighting of this SUV. Latest spy shots from Punit Patil show the interiors of next gen Nexon, which is still too early in its development phase.

Next Gen Nexon Interiors Leaked

Tata Motors is on the verge of overhauling their sales and service network and announced new TATA.CARS identity. The company aims to give their sales and service network a premium touch to transform the perception general consensus has about the brand. The company is also updating Nexon to a new generation with major structural changes.

Nexon has been one of Tata’s best selling vehicles of all time and it enjoys quite a massive fan following as well. This new generation model comes with a new side silhouette which looks boxier and more SUV-ish with a roofline, made straighter now. This should carve out more headroom for rear occupants with a straighter posture.

The video shows interiors of next gen Nexon, but it looks more or less the same as current Nexon. This could mean Tata might retain interiors of current gen or this vehicle is still in early development phase and final production parts will be tested later on in the development cycle. Similar changes can make their way into Nexon EV as well.

We can see that most of the dashboard is stripped out, leaving just infotainment screen and some parts of the centre console like climate controls. Steering wheel looks intact (relatively) and is the same one seen in current Nexon. We can also see the six speed manual gearbox, which is offered with both Petrol, CNG and Diesel engines.

What to expect?

Electronic parking brake with ICE Nexon is new and it could be one of the upgrades Tata is giving to next gen Nexon. Entire interior seems to be camouflaged with black reflective films and then there is exposed wiring all around connected to data loggers and computers. When launched, next gen Nexon is likely to come with an all-new interior.

We wish next gen Nexon gets some features from bigger Tatas like Sierra and Harrier. Features like digital IRVM, QLED infotainment screen, ventilated front and rear seats, maybe powered seats, Dolby Audio, camera washers, winged headrests and other features. The same 1.2L Turbo Petrol and 1.5L Turbo Diesel engines are likely to be carried forward and the same battery-motor combos with Nexon EV.
