New Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z TFT Variant

Bajaj Auto’s golden goose has to be their Pulsar lineup and within this Pulsar lineup, the crown jewel is Pulsar NS400Z. This is one of the, if not, the most desirable motorcycles for performance enthusiasts and Pulsar fanatics taking their first step into high-performance single-cylinder motorcycles and is certainly the most affordable at that.

After updating it with a downsized 350cc engine, Bajaj Auto has given Pulsar NS400Z a major update to its technology package, making this already desirable motorcycle, even more desirable with a TFT instrument cluster. Launch price of Pulsar NS400Z TFT variant is Rs 1.9 lakh (Ex-sh).

In recent times, Bajaj has been updating their portfolio with the 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, replacing the older LCD unit. We first experienced this on Pulsar N160 4V SS and then the same cluster made its way to Classic Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125. Next recipient for this TFT cluster is Pulsar NS400Z.

Launch price for this TFT variant of Pulsar NS400Z is Rs 1,90,015 (Ex-sh), which is around Rs 10k more expensive than the Rs 1.8 lakh (Ex-sh) advertised price of 350cc Pulsar NS400Z in June 2026. Like other Pulsars with this cluster, Pulsar NS400Z TFT variant now gets many connected features for an enhanced riding experience.

This cluster supports both Bluetooth and Wifi streaming from the connected smartphone, allowing it to mirror Google Maps wirelessly. If connected with an Android phone, the smartphone’s screen can be off while streaming Google Maps, which is a vastly appreciated quality-of-life approach.

Music control, document storage, lap timer and switching between four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road), happens with this cluster. To navigate this improved instrument cluster, Pulsar NS400Z TFT variants gets the more sophisticated switchgear. USB Type-C port, panic brake alert, all LED lighting, USD front forks, sintered brake pads, adjustable levers and other attributes are notable too.

This engine delivers 40 PS at 9,000 RPM and 33 Nm at 7,500 RPM, paired with a slipper clutch, a quick shifter, electronic throttle and a 6-speed gearbox. Power-to-weight ratio of 229 PS per ton.

Statement from Bajaj Auto

Speaking on the announcement, Mr. Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “For over 25 years, Pulsar has evolved with the changing needs of riders while staying true to the performance and attitude at the heart of the brand.
