Toyota Sales Breakup Aug 2026 – Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Crysta, Fortuner, Hilux, Camry

Toyota sales declined 3.04% year-on-year and 6.90% month-on-month, with Hyryder leading the lineup

Toyota recorded sales of 28,410 units in August 2026, down from 29,302 units in August last year. This represented a decline of 3.04%, or 892 units. Compared to July 2026, when the company sold 30,516 units, volumes fell by 2,106 units or 6.90%. Toyota slipped to the 6th spot in domestic sales ranking as Kia took the 5th spot.

Toyota Hyryder recorded 8,234 units in August, accounting for 28.98% of the brand’s total sales. Volumes declined 9.52% compared to 9,100 units in August 2025. However, the SUV recovered strongly over July’s 7,187 units, adding 1,047 units for growth of 14.57%.

Innova Hycross ranked second with 5,114 units, contributing 18% of Toyota’s August volumes. Sales declined on both comparisons, falling 12.24% from 5,827 units a year earlier and 15.62% from 6,061 units in July. Innova Crysta followed with 3,849 units, up 10.70% from 3,477 units in August 2025. Combined sales of Hycross and Crysta stood at 8,963 units, representing approximately 31.55% of Toyota’s total.

Fortuner And Taisor Register Growth

Fortuner delivered growth on both comparisons, with sales reaching 3,504 units. This was an increase of 39.71% over the 2,508 units sold in August last year. Against July’s 3,189 units, volumes improved by 315 units or 9.88%. Fortuner accounted for 12.33% of Toyota’s August sales.

Taisor recorded 2,863 units, growing 6.71% year-on-year from 2,683 units. Month-on-month growth was stronger at 15.91%, compared to 2,470 units in July. Its contribution to Toyota’s total stood at 10.08%. Rumion posted 2,396 units, compared to just 68 units in August 2025. The resulting 3,423.53% growth reflects the exceptionally low year-ago base. Sequentially, however, sales declined 8.97% from 2,632 units in July.

Glanza Records Sharp Decline – Facelift Launch Soon

Glanza registered the largest absolute sales decline in Toyota’s lineup. Volumes fell to 1,480 units from 5,102 units in August 2025, a reduction of 3,622 units or 70.99%. This decline is likely due to the nearing launch of facelifted Glanza. It will likely get the same updates which the recently launched Baleno facelift got.

Ebella recorded 372 units, up 31.45% from 283 units in July. No sales were listed for the model in August 2025. It contributed 1.31% to Toyota’s August total. Hilux sales stood at 285 units, up 9.62% from 260 units a year earlier. Compared to just 13 units in July, volumes rose by 272 units. The resulting 2,092.31% monthly growth reflects that low comparison base.

Toyota’s Premium Lineup

Camry recorded 195 units, growing 23.42% over August 2025’s 158 units. Sequentially, sales declined 4.88% from 205 units. Vellfire contributed 79 units, down 24.04% year-on-year from 104 units but up 9.72% over July’s 72 units. Land Cruiser 300 recorded 39 units, compared to 15 units a year earlier and 28 units in July, registering growth of 160% and 39.29%, respectively.
