With Amazon's next Prime Day sale set to start on Tuesday (October 8), I've spent the last few weeks carefully trying not to order anything I don't desperately need in the hopes of getting a better deal in the event. There is nothing more frustrating than splurging on something, just to see the price slashed a matter of days or even weeks later.

I was able to get my hands on some incredible bargains in the Prime Day sale back in July, including a pair of Sketchers for under £30, instead of £55, and a large 14kg bag of dog food for a little over £25 instead of around £34. With deals like this possibly happening again I have been saving a number of items to my basket for later so that I can easily find them for the sale to see if the prices have dropped.

Amazon's latest Prime Day sale will be active from Tuesday, October 8, until Wednesday, October 9, and it is the perfect opportunity to grab a bargain before Christmas or to treat yourself, so I'm not taking any chances.

So whilst you may be planning on spending the day scrolling through the deals to see what's what, here are six items that I have already added to my Amazon Prime basket. With a staggering total of £340.69 staring at me, I am hoping this will significantly drop on Tuesday.

Cookwise's 9L dual air fryer - £120

First up on my list is the Cookwise airfryer, which has two draws, nine in one cooking presets, a touch screen and visual windows to keep an eye on what you are cooking. For the past two years I have been relying on my small air fryer rather than my oven, but since it only has one draw it can be a bit of a pain when it comes to cooking more than one thing at once.

I have been hoping to upgrade this for a while, but £120 is no laughing matter so I have been holding off for a sale. This particular air fryer has more than 2,600 reviews and an average rating of 4.5 stars. Plus, I can't wait to be able to cook something without having to worry about it burning or putting it back in over and over for just another minute.

MISSLO four-pack bed sheet organiser - £33.99

This item is definitely not essential and, as helpful as it looks to keeping bedding organised, it is not something I am willing to splash £33.99 on, which is around £8.50 a folder. Various storage bags like these ones from MISSLO have been going crazy on social media as home organising influencers show how they keep all their bedding sets together without having a messy cupboard with piles of folded sheets everywhere.

These storage containers are designed to keep particular duvet covers, pillowcases and fitted sheets together and nicely folded. I love how they look a bit like folders and there is a clear bit of plastic on the side so you can see the design through the box. This is the sort of product I would probably spend no more than £20 on, so hopefully it goes on sale on Tuesday, if not my sheets can stay in the horribly folded pile they are currently in.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Love 150ml - £74.98

Last year or the year before I managed to get my hands on a large bottle of the Vera Wang Love Struck Perfume for 70 percent off, so it was under £20. This was a great bargain and I spotted in the July Prime Day sale that there were also lots of perfumes being given huge discounts.

For the upcoming sales I am hoping to get my hands on a new bottle of something special to have as my wedding day scent next year. I have been wanting to try the Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau De Toilette Spray for a while, which has a retail price of £120 for the 150ml bottle. It is currently on Amazon for £74.98, but I'm hoping the bottle will be in the sales for around £50 or less tomorrow. The perfume has had plenty of five-star reviews for its unique floral smell and the bottle has also been carefully designed to have a sophisticated yet quirky look with the lid being inspired by an actual daisy.

Harringtons large breed dry adult dog food 14kg - £31.79

When I first adopted my dog I spent ages looking for the best food and prices at pet shops, and decided to stick with the large breed food by Harringtons. However, the cheapest price was on Amazon when also considering delivery and subscription savings. I have a regular delivery of this bag every few weeks which should usually cost around £30 to £33 and, as I have been subscribing for a while, I probably pay around £28.

However, this is for a particular flavour and I like to mix it up now and then for my dog, but don't want to lose my regular discount of 15 percent. In July I was able to do this by ordering one-off bags in the Prime Day sales for around £25, so almost £10 cheaper than the standard price and it meant my dog was able to have a few different flavours, rather than just chicken all the time. So I have the 14kg lamb version of the dry food in my bag ready, and, as long as it's under £28, I know I'm getting a good deal.

COSTWAY Decorative Rustic Wall Mirror - £49.95

Currently on Amazon for £49.95 is this rustic wall mirror from COSTWAY, which I think will look lovely at the top of my staircase. I'm probably going to get this no matter what as it's taken me ages to find a mirror that I really like, but I've been avoiding the purchase in case it goes on sale.

I love the rustic brown version of the mirror, but it also comes in a walnut, black and white version too. There is also a landscape version of each colour which is 101cm by 66cm, rather than the 76cm by 55cm I've been eyeing up. Although the product only has 69 reviews, it does have an impressive 4.7 star rating. One review states: "This mirror is so nice looking the wood is better quality than I expected. Really easy to mount and good mirror definition and size. Really happy with it."

FARI Electric cleaning brush set - £49.99

One thing I really dislike doing is cleaning but it must be done. Whether it's scrubbing down the hobs after cooking something messy, mopping the floor or cleaning the bathroom, it's one of those jobs I try avoid doing. The scrubbing always ruins my nails and just seems to take forever.

I've recently seen a lot more people are using electric cleaning brushes or buying cleaning attachments for drills and I thought that might be a good thing to try. The retail price for this set from FARI is £57.99 but Amazon has it listed for £49.99. This particular one is cordless and has multiple cleaning heads, so it can be used for cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom, windows, floors, corners, cars and even just to polish things. I've been considering something like this for a while, so depending on if it's in the sale or not, and how cheap it becomes, it might be a good solution for anyone who wants an easier cleaning solution.
