BBC Strictly Come Dancing star 'faces dance-off' as history repeats itself

A favourite on Strictly Come Dancing could be heading for the dance-off. Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola have made it through to the next week of Strictly, following their impressive Couple's Choice performance in Blackpool.

The duo appeared on It Takes Two, where they were asked about their experience during the past week. However, host Fleur East had a surprise revelation regarding their upcoming performance.

Sarah and Vito will be performing a Rumba to Tina Arena's Chains in the coming week. When asked how she felt about the upcoming performance, Fleur queried: "Sarah, the thing is - you like a dance with bounce, so how are you finding the restriction for the Rumba? " Sarah confessed that she was finding it challenging, stating: "You can't do that, there's not a place for that. It's very slow, which I'm not great at."

Vito chimed in, saying: "We just have to channel all this energy you want to put in the running or jumping and channel it. Slow is going to be the keyword this week."

Fleur then dropped a bombshell on the pair about their performance, reports the Mirror.

"I'm starting to see some parallels here," she told them, "Because Vito, you and I did our Couple's Choice in Blackpool. The following week, we did a Rumba - and then we ended up in the bottom two. So how much are you hoping history doesn't repeat itself? ".

Sarah and Vito couldn't help but laugh at the comment, with Sarah jokingly saying: "Let's start the week positively. Let's be positive," while Vito chimed in: "If we do get into the bottom two, it will be part of the story and it will mean we get to dance the Rumba twice."

Despite the situation, Sarah chose to remain optimistic, telling Fleur: "But you made it all the way to the final. So if I follow your trajectory, there's hope," a sentiment that Vito agreed with, leaving them all in fits of laughter. During her performance on Saturday, Sarah became emotional as she expressed how much Strictly meant to her.

She shared: "Other people aren't telling me what I can and can't do. I am. I would say to any woman out there if you think you can't do something you can always push yourself. You set your own limits because I've discovered something. These are happy tears. I didn't expect to get this from a dancing competition. It came at just the right time in my life when I didn't know this is what I needed."
