BBC EastEnders fans say 'I'm not watching anymore' as Bianca Jackson's fate sealed
by George Allen, Dan Laurie · NottinghamshireLiveEastEnders has revealed the fate of Bianca Jackson after she was attacked by murderer Reiss Colwell. The outspoken Walford resident, portrayed by Patsy Palmer, has been determined to expose her sister Sonia Fowler's (Natalie Cassidy) fiancé Reiss (Jonny Freeman) for weeks.
This week, she finally discovered video evidence linking him to the murder of his wife Debbie Colwell and confronted him about it. In a conversation with Bianca, Reiss confessed to killing Debbie, prompting Bianca to vow to bring him to justice with the evidence against him.
However, in a panic, Reiss destroyed the laptop containing the CCTV footage, eliminating the evidence. An emotional Reiss discussed his past caring for Debbie and his reasons for ending his comatose wife's life but refused to confess, despite knowing that pregnant Sonia could go to prison for his crime.
Bianca urged Reiss to turn himself in and do the right thing, but he suggested they find a way to free Sonia without him going to jail. Reiss claimed he had hidden Debbie's murder weapon, a pillow, in a storage facility and would give it to Bianca if she allowed him to escape the country.
Armed with a candlestick for protection, Bianca agreed to go along with Reiss's plan for Sonia's sake. While accompanying him in the facility, Bianca found it lined with soundproof insulation, and Reiss admitted there was no pillow before attacking a screaming Bianca with a metal object and a blanket, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In the episode aired on Thursday, November 7, viewers saw a panicked Reiss at Sonia's house with bloodied hands and a heavy chest, suggesting he had killed Bianca and was trying to dispose of her body. He also had a head wound and was interrupted by Martin Fowler (played by James Bye), who questioned his actions and blamed Bianca for the chaos.
However, Reiss managed to avoid answering him. Later, DI Callum Highway (Tony Clay) visited Reiss with Martin, asking about Bianca while Reiss worried about hiding the chest.
Martin spread rumours about Bianca's actions and revealed that her taco van was found abandoned near a train station, implying she had run away from a crime scene. As Reiss attempted to move the chest in his car, an accident happened when Bianca's uncle Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) crashed into Reiss's car with the chest in the boot, but Reiss escaped.
The episode ended with Reiss returning to a storage facility where Bianca was revealed to be alive and chained up, leaving viewers confused by the many plot holes they noticed.
On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, a viewer expressed their disbelief: "So no one followed him to the storage unit? Not a single nosey neighbour, no? Not even Mo? Ok. i'm not watching this show anymore."
Another fan suggested a solution: "If I was Bianca I'd keep calm and just look for something sharp to cut the chains off... your in a storage unit there's gonna be something sharp to use."
A third viewer vented their frustration with the plot: "I'm so sorry but this Reiss storyline is p***ing me off to my core. and MARTIN? ! ? ! MARTIN! ! ! ! ! ! ! Your days are numbered! ! ! ! ! ! ".
