ITV I'm A Celebrity fans issue plea to bosses over 'same person' as they make prediction
by Charlotte Tutton · NottinghamshireLiveEmotions ran high on Sunday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity, as one contestant was left distraught by some significant news. Just a day into the new series hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, fans are predicting an early departure for GK Barry following her tearful reaction to a challenge.
However, things could worsen for her as she is now set to face the first solo trial. The initial trial of the series, named Vile Volcano, which was chosen by public vote, will see GK Barry once again confronting her fears.
She had previously confessed to viewers that she was afraid of everything and disliked what lay ahead in the jungle. Her screams and tears during the episode led fans to quickly vote for her for the next task.
Upon hearing the distressing news, she immediately broke down in tears and was consoled by her Loose Women co-star Jane Moore. Despite maintaining a brave front when Ant and Dec announced she would be facing the challenge, she was later seen tearfully asking her campmates what she would be up against.
Jane reassured her that she would be fine as GK, whose real name is Grace, began crying out of fear. However, some viewers have started appealing to the showrunners, requesting a change in the show's format, reports the Mirror.
In previous series, the same celebrity has been voted for every trial, and fans now worry that this fate awaits GK Barry.
Viewers have taken to social media urging I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
bosses to implement a new rule that would exempt stars from facing a trial consecutively. One viewer implored: "We beg you please let this be the year that you finally listen to us and make it so it's not the same person shouting in every trial every night it's not actually entertaining! ! " Another fan echoed the sentiment: "Y'all best not vote GK Barry for every trial like you did Nella Rose."
Meanwhile, a third spectator expressed their anticipation: "I just hope she won't be doing every trial, not a scooby who she is," while another added: "GK Barry is going to do every trial isn't she."
Upon witnessing contestant GK Barry's aversion to bugs and challenges, viewers speculated that her time in the jungle may be short-lived. Doubts about her endurance were shared by one commenter: "GK Barry won't survive 48 hours the rate she's going."
Agreement came from another who surmised: "Either GK Barry Or Colleen will walk out week one trust me," and yet another predicted: "GK Barry isn't gonna last two days."
Contrastingly, some fans anticipated a turnaround with potential victory for Barry, as one admirer declared: "One episode in and GK Barry is already my winner."
Others found humour in her trials, with one viewer saying: "GK Barry is tooo funny," and another mentioned: "GK Barry is my favourite already! Hilarious."
