Debenhams shoppers have spotted an impressive deal on a stylish piece of homeware that is helping their space look clutter-free. The Florence Boucle Ottoman is £179 at full price, but Debenhams have knocked it down to £69. The 61% saving makes Debenhams the cheapest retailer at the time of writing - £110 less than the same ottoman at Dunelm.

Described as 'good looking' as well as 'practical', the versatile ottoman bench is finished with a trendy boucle fabric and supported by wooden legs. It comes in two natural colourways, a darker mushroom and a light stone, with the first discounted to £69 and the second £119.

The multi-functional piece serves as both seating and storage, making it a smart addition to any space. It would look great placed at the end of the bed to store blankets and sheets, or in the hallway as a way to clear shoes away and a bench to put them on before heading out the door.

Featuring sturdy hinges on both sides, the lid remains open when needed, preventing it from closing automatically and offering a secure storage solution. If you put it in your living room, it would work as extra seating for lounging and as a foot stool. The neutral colourways make it easy to slot into any existing interiors as highlighted by one customer who said that the 'added bonus' is 'it's the exact colour to match our carpet'.

The 'well made' piece of furniture is arguably a bargain buy at £69 - in comparison this similar style ottoman is £495 at Oliver Bonas and this one is £143 at Dusk. A happy shopper said it is a 'great piece of furniture with lots of storage', going on to add that it is made from 'lovely fabric'.

Another consumer wrote: "I was looking for something to fit a particular space in my lounge, and for extra seating (if I have a party!) I am very pleased with it and thought it good value for money. I use it to store files and papers that I need to refer to but don’t want to clutter up the room. Neutral colour and smart boucle material."

The Florence Boucle Ottoman does require some assembly so that is worth noting ahead of time and due to the light-coloured fabric, it might not be best suited if you have children or pets. Alternatively, the dark brown Mabel Ottoman from Wayfair is on sale for £24.99 down from £37.99. It's ideal for fitting in a small space and people say it's 'extremely easy to assemble'.
