Amanda Holden 'always' makes same request on Ryanair flights - but is told 'no'
by Matt Jackson · NottinghamshireLiveAmanda Holden faced a consistent denial from Ryanair when she requested the same thing on every flight. The 53 year old was travelling with comedian Alan Carr to Italy for their TV show 'Italian Job'.
During their flights, Amanda would ask for ice in her rosé wine, only to be turned down by the cabin crew each time. On the Saving Grace podcast with GK Barry, Alan shared: "When we did the first series we flew with Ryanair and Amanda every time asking 'can I have ice with my rose' and they were like 'no'."
"Every time was no, unless they go and scrape it off the wings love, there's going to be no ice on this flight. She thinks it's the Ivy with wings. I'm like 'love, you're lucky'."
While Amanda opts for rosé, Alan prefers an Aperol spritz, a cocktail made with prosecco, Aperol, and soda water.
Alan and Amanda have since taken off to Spain for their new travel show, 'Spanish Job'. Alan expressed his fondness for the country, saying he "loves Spain", reports the Daily Record.
They plan to uncover the "unloved and forgotten" areas of the Costa Del Sol, renovate a dilapidated property, and explore Andalusia.
In a chat with the BBC, Alan expressed his excitement: "It's always exciting when a show you love gets recommissioned but the fact that we will be bringing our unique DIY expertise to a whole different country makes it even more special. We are saying ciao for now and Hola España! " He added, "Can't wait to grab our power tools and get our hard hats on and bring some much needed TLC to a casa in Spain! " The Record has reached out to Ryanair for their response.
