ITV I'm A Celeb fans call for Dean McCullough to be axed as he 'shows true colours'
by Ryan Paton · NottinghamshireLiveI'm A Celebrity enthusiasts are betting that Dean McCullough's time in the jungle is drawing to a close. Twelve celebrities have jet-setted to Australia for the current series of television's most daunting entertainment challenge, with Radio 1 DJ Dean generating widespread controversy as the participant most frequently selected for Bushtucker Trials.
In what was pegged as the season's most tumultuous episode so far on Saturday, Dean was seen clashing with fellow campmates. He attempted to coax McFly's Danny Jones out of his bed, adamantly refused to vacate his own sleeping quarters for Reverend Richard Coles, and later on had a tense exchange with Alan Halsall.
As per camp regulations, Dean was supposed to assist Jane Moore in collecting firewood. However, when the Coronation Street actor tried to rouse him, Dean remained sound asleep and unresponsive.
Alan, portraying Tyrone Dobbs, stepped in to help Jane but soon encountered Dean's irritation. The DJ retorted: "Listen to me. If you're gonna wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright? It takes a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, alright, so you don't need to turn around to me and say 'do you not fancy it? ' ok? And then turn around and walk away."
Social media users on platform X were taken aback by Dean's conduct and expressed intentions to vote for the other campmates to stay once elimination rounds commence, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Lee commented online: "Dean is just something else! ! Give up the bed for the rev. Showing his true colours here". Meanwhile, Kiera expressed her strategy with: "Me voting to save everyone except Dean when we can start voting people out of this show".
Briony shared her sentiment, remarking: "The ONLY time anyone should be voting for dean is when we're voting for people to leave". Kay chimed in with a request: "When can we start voting for Dean to leave asking for a friend".
Amanda echoed the growing consensus: "When can we vote out because dean needs to leave."
And Zola also opined on the matter, adding: " Dean's true colours are starting to showing ! Leave Alan alone mate".
