ITV Emmerdale fans 'obsessed' with 'ridiculous' blunder as they spot something odd in Halloween episode
by Dan Laurie · NottinghamshireLiveEmmerdale enthusiasts were quick to spot a blunder in a recent episode of the beloved ITV soap. In the episode broadcast on Thursday (October 31), Chas Dingle, portrayed by Lucy Pargeter, invited Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Ella Forster (Paula Lane) to a Halloween party at the pub.
However, Liam struggled to hide his feelings for Chas, and the situation came to a head when he confessed his emotions, resulting in a kiss between the two. Despite his plans to break up with Ella, they both turned up together at the Woolpack's Halloween event, leaving Chas heartbroken.
As the romantic drama between Liam, Chas, and Ella unfolded, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Jonny McPherson accidentally wore his ITV lanyard while playing the village GP. Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions.
Leeds Live reported one fan's comment: "Obsessed with Dr Liam wearing his ITV-branded lanyard #Emmerdale."
, while another simply said: "great spot". A third added "Ridiculous", and another asked: "How is this stuff not spotted.", reports the Manchester Evening News.
Chas is resolute in her desire to be with Liam after the chemistry they've shared over the year. Yet, she is adamant about not becoming "the other woman" and insists that Liam must resolve his relationship with Ella first.
In a conversation with Digital Spy, Lucy Pargeter, who stars as Chas Dingle in Emmerdale, opened up about the prospects of her character's relationship with Liam Cavanagh. She explained: "I think she's probably going back to what she knows because of the fear of going forward with somebody new. But it'll be interesting to see if it does go anywhere."
Speaking of their dynamic, Pargeter also added: "I think Liam and Chas make an interesting couple. When Paddy was with Chas, a lot of people said that they weren't a good match. I think Liam's quite different to Chas but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. They could be a good match."
