Dipolog to log highest heat index today
by Andrew Ronquillo · philstarMANILA, Philippines — Temperatures in Dipolog in Zamboanga del Norte may reach up to 46 degrees Celsius today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA warned that other areas across the country will have “dangerous” heat index levels, which range from 42 to 51 degrees Celsius.
Sangley Point in Cavite City, the islands of Coron and Cuyo in Palawan and Guiuan in Eastern Samar will experience a heat index of 45 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures will go as high as 44 degrees Celsius at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City, San Jose in Occidental Mindoro, Virac in Catanduanes, Pili in Camarines Sur, Dumangas in Iloilo Province and the cities of Roxas, Iloilo and Tarlac.
Dagupan City, Iba in Zambales, Muñoz in Nueva Ecija, Ambulong in Occidental Mindoro, Alabat in Quezon Province and Los Baños in Laguna will register an index of 43 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, 42 degrees Celsius will be logged at the Science Garden in Quezon City, Bacnotan in La Union, Camiling in Tarlac, Juban in Sorsogon, Mambusao in Panay and the cities of Batac, Tayabas, Legazpi, Masbate, Catbalogan and Maasin.
