Internet reacts to Red Lobster closing the Tallahassee location

Red Lobster is turning off its ovens in its oldest-operating location in Tallahassee, Florida.

The closing is part of the company's cost-cutting efforts.

However, it appears fans are only saying one thing following the closing: endless shrimp.

It's a $20 offer, which previously reportedly was one of the reasons that led the company into bankruptcy.

However, weeks ago it returned, but with strings attached.

The company's CEO Damola Adamolekun switched the initial 'all-you-can-eat' shrimp into a temporary offer.

With caveats including raising the prices from $20 to $24.99 and $29.99, varying on location.

The deal is strictly dine-in only; no leftovers for home.

The offer is not available on key holidays.

Social media 'Endless Shrimp' reactions are in

Several users on social media express their views in the wake of the closing of Red Lobster in Tallahassee.

"I really miss my local Red Lobster that closed. Make Red Lobster Great Again," one user wrote.

"Tbh, endless shrimp is the only reason to ever go to Red Lobster."

"In dimly lit Red Lobster, waiting for my 12th order of endless shrimp while every waiter avoids eye contact," a third user added.
