Several automakers, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, Kia, and MG, are gearing up to introduce new seven-seater ICE vehicles in India over the next year. These upcoming launches are designed to meet the growing need for spacious, family-oriented cars, offering consumers a wide range of choices. Here’s an early look at what’s in store:
1. MG Gloster Facelift:
The MG Gloster facelift is expected to debut in the coming months, featuring minor updates to its exterior design and interior to boost its overall attractiveness. Although these revisions will provide a refreshed appearance, the SUV is expected to retain its current engine and powertrain options but new features and technologies will be added.
2. 7-Seater Kia Hybrid SUV:
Hyundai is developing a brand new SUV for the Indian market, known by its codename Ni1i. Scheduled for launch in a little over two years, this C-segment SUV will position itself between the updated Alcazar and the Tucson in Hyundai’s lineup for India. Manufacturing will be carried out at the Talegaon facility near Pune, which will also produce the second-generation Venue.

Hyundai is reportedly planning to expand its SUV portfolio with several upcoming models. Prior to the arrival of the Ni1i, the company will focus on strengthening its already popular SUV range. The Ni1i will mark a milestone as Hyundai’s first model to incorporate strong hybrid technology, offering a notable boost in fuel efficiency.
3&4. 7-Seater Grand Vitara & Toyota Hyryder:
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are set to debut their three-row variants in the first half of 2025. These new models will feature design and interior enhancements, including a third row of seats to cater to a broader audience. Buyers can also expected an upgrade in premium features with these upcoming offerings.

5. Kia Carens Facelift:
Kia plans to update the Carens in mid-2025, introducing refreshed exterior styling and interior upgrades while maintaining the existing powertrain and transmission options. Alongside this, an electric version of the Carens is in the works, broadening the model’s lineup. The brand is also reportedly developing an electric variant of the Sonet.
