Mahindra & Mahindra has announced today that three of its SUVs – the Thar Roxx, XUV 3XO, and XUV 400 – have achieved the top 5-Star Bharat NCAP safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection. Notably, the Thar Roxx has made history as the first body-on-frame SUV to receive this rating, setting a new standard with the highest points awarded to an Internal Combustion Engine vehicle to date.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx has received 31.09 points out of 32.00 in adult occupant protection and 45.00 out of 49.00 points in child occupant protection tests as the five-door off-road SUV has been awarded five stars in both categories. Likewise, the XUV 3XO has secured 29.36 points out of 32.00 in adult occupant, and 43.00 out of 49.00 in child occupant protection tests.

The XUV 3XO is the updated version of the XUV 300 and its sibling, the XUV 400 electric SUV has fared even better. It was evaluated to have scored 30.38 out of 32.00 for adult occupant protection and 43.00 out of 49.00 points in the child occupant protection class. Part of XUV 3XO’s brilliant scores is the availability of a long list of safety features.
