All-New 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid To Launch In India On December 11

New-gen 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid will get a host of cosmetic revisions and a more feature-packed interior

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) will introduce the all-new Camry hybrid in the domestic market on December 11, 2024. Set to hit the local assembly lines, the 2025 Toyota Camry is currently in its ninth generation in the international markets and subjected to a host of changes inside and out while new features and technologies have also been added.

Upon arrival, the new-gen Camry will not have any direct competitors in India but the new Skoda Super is expected to arrive sometime in 2025. In November 2023, Toyota unveiled the new generation Camry with big updates and it entered the Singaporean market this past August and became the first Southeast Asian country to receive the new model.

In India, the Camry hybrid is currently priced at Rs. 46.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and the upcoming sedan could incur a price hike. The new Toyota Camry spans 4,920 mm long, 1,840 mm wide, and 1,455 mm tall with a generous 2,825 mm wheelbase and a boot capacity of 500 litres. Internationally, it is offered in nine paint options: Platinum White Pearl Mica, Silver Metallic, Precious Metal, Attitude Black Mica, Emotional Red 3, Precious Bronze, and Dark Blue Mica.

The cabin is available in three distinctive themes: Fromage, Black and Yellow Brown. The refreshed design includes a sleeker front end featuring sharper LED headlights and C-shaped LED daytime running lights, complemented by C-shaped tail lamps. Other updates include redesigned front and rear bumpers, new air inlets, newly styled 18-inch alloy wheels, etc.

It is powered by a 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. The electric motor produces 134 hp and 208 Nm of torque while the gasoline engine generates 185 hp at 6,000 rpm and 221 Nm of torque between 3,200 and 5,200 rpm. Together, the hybrid system delivers a combined output of 228 hp. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an e-CVT, enabling a top speed of 180 kmph and the fuel efficiency stands at 19.6 kmpl.

The new Toyota Camry boasts a long list of features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a nine-speaker JBL audio setup, and three-zone automatic climate control. Additional highlights include three drive modes, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display (HUD), a more advanced ADAS suite, powered front seats, paddle shifters, leather upholstery, eight airbags and so on.
