Hyundai will launch the electric Creta in India in early 2025, featuring a 45 kWh battery, updated design, advanced interior, and competing with models like the MG ZS EV

South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai Motor is rigorously working to introduce the electric Creta in India next year. Slated to be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January 2025, the test mule of the new Hyundai Creta EV has been spotted testing for quite sometime now. Here is what to expect from the upcoming SUV.

Hyundai Creta EV Exterior

In terms of exterior, the Creta EV will look a lot like the recently updated Creta, but it will have some unique features. These include a closed-off front grille, new front and rear bumpers, and specially designed alloy wheels for better aerodynamics.

Speaking about the interior, the electric Creta will have a new three-spoke steering wheel like the Kona EV sold abroad. Moreover, the drive selector lever has been moved to the steering column from the center console, also similar to the Hyundai Kona EV. Additionally, the SUV will feature an updated center console, including two cup holders, auto hold, a 360-degree camera, control for cooled seats and electronic parking brake button.

Earlier spy shots provided a glimpse of the HVAC controls offered in the Creta EV, similar to the Alcazar facelift. Furthermore, the electric Creta will support a twin-screen setup for the infotainment and instrument cluster. Infotainment system is expected to get a better software interface and more features this time.

Hyundai Creta EV Battery and Range

The Creta EV will be equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack, which is smaller than the MG ZS EV’s 50.3 kWh and the upcoming Maruti eVX’s 48-60 kWh. The single motor will be placed at the front, generating a peak power of 138 hp and a max torque of 255 Nm. The Creta EV will be majorly based on the regular Creta, with some modifications.

When launched, the midsize electric SUV will lock horns with the Maruti eVX, MG ZS EV, Maruti eVX SUV, BYD Atto 3, and the Curvv EV in the Indian market.
