Showcased first at the 2023 Auto Expo, the MG Mifa 9 electric MPV will be launched next year in India to take on the Toyota Vellfire and recently launched fourth-gen Kia Carnival. The Mifa 9 is equipped with a front-wheel-drive configuration, powered by a front-mounted motor paired with a 90kWh lithium battery. This setup delivers 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The luxury MPV boasts a WLTP-rated range of 430 km.

Maruti is reportedly developing a compact MPV, codenamed YDB, set to slot below the Ertiga in its lineup and positioned to compete directly with the Renault Triber. Inspired by the Japan-based Spacia, the YDB will likely incorporate various cost-saving measures to keep it attractively priced for budget-conscious family buyers. Additionally, a Toyota-badged version of this model is expected, further extending its appeal in the market.
