South Korean car manufacturers Kia and Hyundai are all set to make waves in the compact SUV segment in 2025 with the launch of two highly anticipated models – Kia Syros and the new-gen Hyundai Venue.

1. Kia Syros

Kia India has officially named its upcoming compact SUV the Syros, positioned between the Seltos and Sonet. Key design elements include an upright front fascia with triple beam vertical LED projector headlamps, slim LED DRLs, and L-shaped LED tail lamps.

Under the hood, the Syros is expected to offer a 1.0L turbo petrol, 1.2L NA petrol, and 1.5L diesel engine, paired with multiple transmission options. Inside, it will boast a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a digital instrument console, a 360-degree camera, an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, ADAS, ambient lighting, and 6 airbags as standard. Kia aims to offer competitive pricing, with a variety of powertrain options expected in the future, making the Syros a well-rounded contender in the compact SUV segment.

2. New-gen Hyundai Venue

The next-gen Hyundai Venue will retain its boxy design but adopt styling cues from newer models like the Creta and Alcazar. It will feature a split headlamp setup similar to the Creta, a wider grille, and a taller bumper. The front will also include parking sensors and a module for ADAS, likely standard on higher variants. The overall length will remain under 4 meters. At the rear, the upright tailgate will be paired with new horizontal tail lamps connected by a light bar.
