Here we have explained about the 10 upcoming adventure bikes that are waiting to launch in India within the next twelve to eighteen months

The dual-purpose adventure touring segment will be hotly contested in the Indian market over the next two years as a host of new motorcycles are waiting to arrive. Here we have explained about the confirmed and speculated launches:

1&2. Hero Xpulse 210 & Xpulse 421:

Unveiled at the EICMA 2024 show, the second generation Xpulse, powered by a liquid-cooled 210 cc derived from Karizma XMR, will go on sale soon in India. It gets a brand new design which has taken an evolutionary approach compared to the outgoing model while new features have also been added. The flagship adv from Hero, utilising a 421 cc engine, will go on sale in 2026 and its sketches were revealed in Milan.

3. New KTM 390 Adventure:

The new generation KTM 390 Adventure R will be launched on November 14 in India and it will be accompanied by the new road-focussed Adventure X variant. Besides a thorough redesign, mechanical changes have also been implemented as the dual-purpose adv sits on a new steel trellis frame and is equipped with a more powerful 399 cc engine from the latest 390 Duke.

4,5 & 6. Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric, Himalayan Rally & Himalayan 650:

Royal Enfield showcased two electric concepts at the EICMA 2024 show as the Flying Flea C6 was accompanied by the Himalayan Electric 2.0. The latter has been an updated version of the prototype revealed last year and is expected to launch in the coming years. The Rally variant of the existing Himalayan 450 and the flagship ICE Himalayan 650 are also under development.

7&8. Triumph Tiger Sport 800 & Tiger 400:

A few weeks ago, Triumph introduced the Tiger Sport 800 globally replacing the Sport 850 and it will be brought into India sometime in 2025. Taking styling influence from the Tiger Sport 660, the Sport 800 is powered by a 798 cc inline three-cylinder engine kicking out 113 bhp and 95 Nm. It will be loaded with electronic aids and modern features. The Tiger 400 based on the Speed 400’s platform is also likely in the coming years.

9. 2025 Honda Transalp XL750:

Honda has refreshed the Transalp XL750 for 2025 with subtle design tweaks, enhanced features, and improved riding dynamics. Now sporting a new headlamp inspired by the Africa Twin, the Transalp also has a redesigned windscreen with an airflow duct. Honda has added a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, along with updated switchgear and a revised suspension. It is expected to go on sale in India in the near future.

10. BMW F 450GS:

BMW Motorrad unveiled the F 450GS adventure bike concept at EICMA 2024 with plans to launch the production model in the European market early next year. Developed in Germany, both the F 450GS concept and its 450cc platform are BMW’s creations. While BMW oversees the bike’s development, full-scale manufacturing will be handled by TVS in India. The production variant could be launched in mid-2025 in India.
