Here’s a look at three new compact cars set to launch soon in India from Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Honda

Riding the wave of festive season enthusiasm, automakers are rolling out new models, and 2024 is no exception. Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Honda are gearing up to introduce their latest compact vehicles, adding a new layer of excitement to the Indian car market.

These new launches are set to capture considerable consumer interest with their competitive pricing. Aiming for high sales volumes, the lineup includes brand new versions of two beloved sedans and an all-new electric compact SUV. Here’s a look at what’s in store:

1. New Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire:

Arriving in dealerships in the coming weeks, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is gearing up for its November 11 launch. This new generation compact sedan will sport a fully overhauled design inside and out with several elements carried over from the new Swift, including its features and engine choices.

Under the hood, it will house a 1.2L Z-series petrol engine, paired with options for both manual and AMT transmissions. The powertrain produces a maximum power output of 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak torque. For added fuel efficiency, a CNG variant will also be available, giving customers a broader selection of economical choices.

2. New Honda Amaze:

Honda is gearing up to introduce the new generation Amaze in India before the year ends. Like its main competitor, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the new Amaze will see various upgrades in both its exterior and interior design. While it’s expected to retain the current engine and transmission options, the model will feature an enhanced equipment list and advanced safety technologies.

3. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV:

Mahindra is set to launch the electric variant of the XUV 3XO by year-end. Expected to house the smaller battery pack from the XUV 400, it aims for a range exceeding 400 km per charge. Competing against the Tata Punch EV and base Nexon EV models, the XUV 3XO EV could debut with a starting price of around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom) or a bit higher.
