Royal Enfield introduced the Scram 440 at the Motoverse 2024 festival in Vagator, Goa, showcasing a range of updates for the new model. Set to hit the market soon, it is expected to come with a slight price increase over the outgoing Scram 411. While the 2025 Scram 440 retains a design similar to the existing model, it features several mechanical upgrades that enhance its overall performance and appeal.
Alongside the boost in power and torque, the new LS440 engine has been optimized for better fuel efficiency and smoother performance during highway cruising. Royal Enfield has introduced a sixth gear and adjusted the final gear ratio to enhance traction and overall drivability. Additionally, a new pull-type clutch has been incorporated, offering greater durability and reducing lever effort by 0.75 kg, further improving rider comfort and control.
The long-stroke engine now features a 3 mm increase in bore, raising the displacement to 443 cc. This enhancement results in a 4.5% power boost, delivering 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm, and a 6.5% increase in torque, reaching 34 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Further upgrades include a higher payload capacity of 179 kg, which accommodates top box compatibility, and an improved ground clearance of 200 mm enhancing practicality and off-roadability.

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 features a seat height of 795 mm, making it accessible to a broader range of riders. It is equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tubeless tyres (100/90 at the front and 120/90 at the rear). For those preferring a classic touch, wire-spoked wheels with tubed tyres are also an option. The updated equipment list now includes a modern LED headlamp and a switchable ABS system to let loose the rear end while off-roading.
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 retains the half-duplex split cradle frame seen on the previous Himalayan 411. Its suspension setup includes 41 mm telescopic front forks with 190 mm travel and a link-type monoshock at the rear offering 180 mm travel. Weighing in at 196 kg, the motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,460 mm and an overall length of 2,165 mm, ensuring stability and a balanced ride.

The Royal Enfield Scram 440 comes with a 15L fuel tank, ensuring decent range for longer rides. It comes equipped with a USB Type-A charging port and a semi-digital instrument console, with the option to add a tripper navigation system for enhanced functionality. Braking performance is managed by a 300 mm hydraulic disc at the front and a 240 mm hydraulic disc at the rear, complemented by a dual-channel ABS system.
