by · Gizchina

Honor is preparing to launch its new X60 series phones on October 16, promising higher-end features than the Honor X60i, which was released in July. The company has already teased several key aspects of the upcoming models through its Weibo account, hinting at notable upgrades that will make the X60 series stand out. These improvements include advanced battery technology, enhanced display capabilities, and possibly more exciting features that have yet to be revealed.

Honor X60 Coming With Massive 6,600 mAh Battery and Satellite Communication

One of the Honor X60 series’s most anticipated features is introducing a new battery technology called “Honor Qinghai Lake.” This battery is said to have a massive 6,600mAh capacity, which is expected to offer up to two days of battery life on a single charge. It provides a significant boost in endurance compared to previous models. This larger battery will likely be exclusive to the X60 Pro. After all, leaked hands-on photos suggest that the base X60 model will continue to use a 5,800mAh battery with 35W charging. It’s similar to the Honor X50, X50 GT, and X50 Pro from last year.

Beyond the impressive battery enhancements, the Honor X60 series will introduce other key features to improve the overall user experience. One of these is the support for satellite communication, which could offer better connectivity in remote areas. Additionally, the displays will feature 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It will provide a smoother, more visually appealing experience with less flicker. The effect is especially seen in low-light conditions.

As the launch event draws closer, we can expect more teasers and details about the X60 series to emerge. Recent official listings have also hinted at the introduction of other devices. It includes a new 12.3-inch Honor Tablet GT Pro. It could debut alongside the X60 phones on October 16.

The Honor X60 series will continue Honor’s high bet on the premium mid-range market.
