Luxury Accessories Brand Eittem Launches Collaborative Line with Frick Collection in New York

The New York–based luxury accessories brand Eittem created a new set of offerings inspired by the Frick Collection in New York, with a special focus on the newly accessible second-floor private rooms that opened to the public last year after the mansion’s four-year renovation.

The line includes new editions of Eittem’s distinctive woodgrain handbags, priced from $5,500 to $7,900, as well as brooches ($750–$950) and a editioned sculpture ($10,000). The handbags bear the Frick Collection mark and are lined with a “Frick-red leather interior.”

The items were inspired in part by the mansion’s Walnut Room, which boasts botanical woodcarvings by Abraham Miller in the ornate space where Henry Clay Frick slept. “Rather than reproduce the carvings, the atelier interpreted select motifs from the overmantel at an intimate scale, creating sensorial objects with refined tactility,” a press release reads. “Each piece is designed to be held, worn, and collected as a personal connection to the Frick’s historic mansion.”

Erin Saluti, Eittem’s founder and creative director, said, “The Frick is a place I have returned to throughout my life for inspiration, drawn equally to its collection and its remarkable interiors. To create work in response to the Walnut Room, and in respectful dialogue with Abraham Miller’s extraordinary carvings, places Eittem within a context I care deeply about: the intersection of art, design, history, and exceptional craft. It reflects our shared belief that objects and materials carry meaning across time.”
