Surely after a few days, you begin to understand every aspect of your car.

Whether you open your manual and read all the specs of your vehicle, or you're taught by someone else. Either way, it's crucial to know everything about the steering wheel you're sat behind.

But for one person, they're only just discovering something rather new about their vehicle, in fact, it's taken "45 years to learn". Over on Instagram, user @amintips, who boasts 107,000 fans, was mind-blown after spotting a place to put your hub cap when filling petrol.

In the clip, the poster can be seen opening up the cap and then placing it in a little slot on the cover of the car. So instead of it dangling while you fill up your vehicle with fuel, it can be nestled safely in the spot until you finish the task.

The caption read: "Follow me @amintips for more tips! Did you know this about your car?" Since it was shared, the post garnered thousands of likes and comments.

One said: "I'm 30 and still didn't know." While another added: "Omg I never knew." But other people on Instagram seem to be amazed at how the user didn't know.

Someone wrote: "Slow learner," as a second chimed in: "Took you 45 years to learn something everybody else figured out the first time of asking?"

A third pointed out: "All cars are different. So check your own first." Then a fourth added: "Learn your car when you get it."

In the quick 43-second clip, @master_driver666 on TikTok said: "Look, did you see this yellow light? It's the engine fault light, if this light comes on and you go to a repair shop, how much do you think they will cheat you?

"Today I tell you how to solve it without spending a penny. Find the battery in the engine bay, the plus sign is the positive pole. The minus sign is the negative pole."

Then on another occasion, we revealed how to remove scratches from your vehicle using a common household item. It was explained why keeping toothpaste in the car is very beneficial.
