Ant and Dec quickly took the opportunity to make a quip about Coleen Rooney's well-known conflict with Rebekah Vardy as this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! got underway.

Coleen, who is set to join the jungle lineup this season, was thrown into the limelight by the presenting duo within minutes of the show commencing. Dec commented: "It will be nice for her to face trial that doesn't involve Rebekah Vardy."

This remark is undoubtedly referencing Coleen's infamous dispute with fellow WAG Rebekah which escalated to a court case.

Rebekah brushed off any speculation relating to the drama as irrelevant just hours before the premiere. Having also participated in the ITV programme in 2017, Rebekah had been accused by Coleen, via a viral social media post, of sharing stories with The Sun an accusation that led to a libel lawsuit, reports the Mirror.

In July 2022, the High Court ruled Coleen's allegations were "substantially 'true'".

When The Sun sought Rebekah's thoughts on watching Coleen tackle the Bushtucker trials, she remarked: "Absolutely, we'll be watching avidly. Everyone seems to think I have this massive problem with Coleen going into the jungle. But do you know what? If you want to fan the fire, the flames are going to get higher. I wasn't going to carry on talking about this, I had no intention of talking about it, but she clearly can't let it go."

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is back with a bang, as a fresh batch of celebs braced themselves for the show's notorious challenges. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are once again at the helm, presenting from the depths of the Australian jungle.

This year's contestants are set to tackle everything from the famous Bushtucker Trials to Kiosk Kev's perplexing puzzles in their quest to dethrone reigning champion Sam Thompson and claim the coveted jungle crown.

The initial line-up of campmates was revealed before the show's launch, boasting names such as Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, and Oti Mabuse. Yet, in 'true' I'm A Celeb fashion, viewers can expect some unexpected late arrivals to shake things up, with Love Island's Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles rumoured to be making an entrance later in the series.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing as hosts Ant and Dec had to break some "bad news" to fans prior to the show's comeback. The duo addressed their followers via their shared Instagram account, with Declan announcing: "Hi everybody, Ant and Dec here. But you knew that. We've got a little update for you, because we know lots of you've been asking about Jungle Club this year. We've got some good news and we got some bad news. I'll start with the bad news, shall I?"

Ant then revealed: "Jungle Club will not be going on straight after the main show. Sorry. The good news is it will be going on straight after the new ITV2 show. Yay!" Dec added: "So we are back, but we're a little bit later. Yes, we are. It's Jungle Club: Late and Live. One for all you night owls out there."

Fans can look forward to Jungle Club where Ant and Dec will be live on Instagram following the main show, providing their personal take, sharing anecdotes, and offering exclusive behind-the-scenes insights.
