The new Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11″ (gen 9) is a ChromeOS tablet that comes with a detachable keyboard, allowing you to use the system like a laptop. It’s a relatively modest update over the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook, but the new model brings a new processor and a spec bump for wired and wireless connections.

Lenovo published some details about the new tablet a little prematurely in August, but now is officially available for purchase.

The new Chromebook Duet features a 10.95 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel LCD touchscreen display with support for an optional Lenovo USI Pen 2 (sold separately) for pressure-sensitive input. The tablet’s kickstand also allows you to position the Chromebook Duet 11″ in portrait or landscape orientation for use with or without the detachable keyboard.

While Lenovo’s previous-gen tablet was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor and supported up to 8GB of LPDDR4x memory and 256GB of eMMC flash storage, the 2024 model has a MediaTek Kompanio 838 processor and supports up to 128GB of storage. There’s been no change on the memory front.

List prices start at $340 for a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, or $400 for an 8GB/128GB model.

The new Chromebook Duet 11″ has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, a headphone jack, and set of pogo pins that connect to the detachable keyboard.

Other features include a pair of stereo speakers, and support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. There’s a 29 Wh battery inside the tablet, and support for up to 45 watt fast charging.

The tablet has an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera, with support for what Google and Lenovo call “AI-enhanced zoom,” which is to say it’s digital zoom rather than optical, but thanks to computational photography it should result in slightly sharper images when you crop and zoom.
