Plaza Premium completes Taoyuan lounge revamp

Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has completed a five-month refurbishment of its four lounges at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, updating seating, dining and rest facilities across Terminals 1 and 2.

The project coincides with PPG’s 10th year in Taiwan. The group has served more than six million travellers in the market since establishing a presence at Taoyuan International Airport in 2016.

Each refurbished lounge has been given a theme drawing on aspects of Taiwan. The Blossom and The Jade are located in Terminal 1, while The Terroir and The Crest are in Terminal 2. Their designs reference orchids, jade craftsmanship, tea culture and mountain landscapes.

Layouts and seating have been reconfigured to increase capacity, while buffet areas have been expanded. The lounges have also added Taiwanese dishes, including Sha Cha Beef Noodles, shredded chicken rice and sticky rice, alongside vegetarian options.

Local partnerships include Moon Moon Food, which has developed a sesame chilli noodle dish for the lounges, as well as tea brand Chappii and Drink Sport. Selected lounges also feature DIY cocktail bars.

The Terroir in Terminal 2 has added private rest suites in partnership with Sealy, available in single- and double-occupancy configurations.

PPG has also worked with Acme+Art Gallery to install 15 artworks across its Terminal 1 and 2 lounges. The first exhibition includes works by Taiwanese contemporary artist Wu Chia Hua and other local artists.

Other additions include airline-exclusive areas and private VIP rooms. The four lounges are now operational and can be accessed through participating airlines and card issuers, walk-in admission, online bookings, Smart Traveller points and corporate programmes.
