10 Fall 2026 Jewelry Trends Taking Over Every Outfit This September 2026

Fall jewelry is getting harder to miss this September. The tiny hoops, delicate chains, and barely-there pieces that worked all summer are making room for oversized earrings, chunky gold, long pendants, and statement pieces that actually show up against a sweater or jacket. Even pearls are getting bigger, while brooches and cuff bracelets are finding their way back into everyday outfits.

And that might be the biggest shift in Fall 2026 jewelry trends: you don’t need a lot of jewelry to change an outfit. One pair of big earrings can do it. So can a pendant over a knit or a chunky cuff worn over long sleeves. These are the 10 trends I’d keep on my radar as fall dressing takes over.

Bombé Earrings

If you’ve been seeing those smooth, puffed-up earrings everywhere but didn’t know what to call them, bombé is the word you’re looking for. They’re rounded, chunky, and almost look as though somebody inflated an ordinary stud.

This one has particularly good Fall 2026 backing. Who What Wear calls the trend “Bulky Bombé,” pointing to the oversized, ear-covering shapes coming through this autumn. And it follows nicely from the bold dome gold earrings Bright Side highlighted earlier in 2026.

This might be my favorite of the 3 earring trends because it’s actually easy to wear. You get the chunky look without having something brushing your shoulder all day.

Vintage Brooches

Brooches aren’t quietly creeping back anymore. They’re already everywhere this fall. Dale Arden Chong at ELLE spotted vintage-inspired versions at Etro, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Prabal Gurung, and Tory Burch, while Vogue found floral brooches at Chanel, Dior, Khaite, Loro Piana, and Kallmeyer.

And they’re not being treated like something that belongs exclusively on a formal blazer. Tory Burch put them on sweaters, which is probably how I’d try the trend first.

Before buying one, though, I’d absolutely check the bottom of an older relative’s jewelry box. This might be the rare Fall 2026 trend that’s been sitting there waiting for us to catch up.

Shoulder-Grazing Drops

If really enormous earrings feel like too much, long drops are a slightly easier way into the same fall mood. They’re still dramatic, but instead of taking up half the ear, the length does most of the work.

Who What Wear has floral drop earrings on its Autumn 2026 trend list, pointing to the chandelier-like versions coming down the runways. ELLE’s Kristen Bateman also spotted supersized drops at Valentino, where Alessandro Michele paired huge pearls with rhinestone fringe earrings.

Personally, I’d wear these with my hair tucked behind my ears or pulled back. If you’re going to wear earrings this long, you may as well let people see them.

Chunky Collar Necklaces

Delicate chains looked great against bare skin all summer. Put the same necklace over a thick September sweater and suddenly you need binoculars to find it. That’s probably part of the reason necklaces are getting so much bigger.

Tara Gonzalez singled out chunky collars after seeing Chanel send models down the Fall 2026 runway in necklaces that looked almost like pieces of sculptural art. More importantly, Gonzalez noticed that designers aren’t necessarily bringing back stacks of tiny necklaces. One big piece is replacing the whole pile.

That’s exactly how I’d wear it: chunky gold over black, silver over cream, or something sculptural over a plain turtleneck. No complicated layering required.

Long Pendant Necklaces

Pendant necklaces aren’t new, obviously. What’s changing this fall is how difficult they are to miss. Instead of a tiny charm sitting around the collarbone, pendants are getting bigger and dropping much farther down the chest.

I’d choose something that looks a little collected rather than perfectly polished — an old coin, locket, unusual stone, or strange little charm. If somebody asks where you found it, even better.

Sculptural Cuffs

Bracelets normally disappear once long sleeves come back, but Fall 2026 isn’t exactly being shy about wrists either. Cuffs are getting wider, smoother and more sculptural, with one substantial bracelet doing the job that a whole stack used to do.

Who What Wear’s current September fall-accessories edit includes arm cuffs alongside the accessories its editors are wearing right now, while the wider Fall 2026 runway trend is clearly moving toward bigger, more visible jewelry.

We at Bright Side have also been following sculptural metal jewelry throughout 2026, so I’d carry that straight into fall. My favorite way to wear one is also the simplest: right over a fitted sweater sleeve.

Oversized Pearls

Pearls aren't going anywhere. They're getting a lot harder to overlook.

Dale Arden Chong at ELLE singled out the larger-than-life pearl strands Alessandro Michele used at Valentino for Fall 2026. And Kristen Bateman has been following the same change at ELLE, noting that pearls are being stacked, oversized, layered, and generally pushed a long way from the neat little strand we tend to picture first.

I'd lean into that rather than trying to make pearls look perfectly proper. Go bigger, layer them, or choose a shape that's slightly irregular. Your grandmother's pearls can stay; they just don't necessarily need to be worn the way she wore them.

Mixed Gold and Silver

Bright Side has already included mixed metals among the jewelry trends shaping 2026, and fall’s move toward less perfectly matched jewelry makes the combination even easier to pull off.

I wouldn’t buy an entirely new mixed-metal collection for this one. Start with what’s already in the jewelry box: silver watch + gold bracelet, silver earrings + gold necklace, or rings in both metals. Turns out they get along just fine.

Chunky Rings

If giant earrings and chunky necklaces still feel like somebody else’s wardrobe, a big ring might be the easiest way into this fall’s heavier jewelry.

Cosmopolitan’s Kaia Carioli includes rings in the Fall 2026 “Jumbo Jewels” shift, alongside the enormous earrings, necklaces, and brooches appearing on the runways. Cosmopolitan points to Saint Laurent and Valentino as particularly good examples of just how far designers are pushing jewelry proportions this season.

I’d keep this one to a single chunky ring rather than covering every finger. One oversized stone or sculptural metal shape gets the idea across perfectly well.

Oversized Earrings

Kristen Bateman at ELLE spotted shoulder-dusting versions at Valentino, Saint Laurent, Dior, Chanel, Miu Miu, Chloé, and Givenchy, calling attention to just how exaggerated earrings have become for Fall 2026.

Bright Side was already tracking bigger earrings earlier this year, so this feels less like a trend appearing out of nowhere and more like one that’s finally gone all in.

I actually think they make more sense once sweaters and jackets come back. A tiny stud can disappear next to a chunky knit; a big earring doesn’t. I’d skip the necklace and let the earrings do the work.
