  Something clicked inside me then, as if I’d been waiting all that time for some kind of sign. From that day on, I was constantly checking chats, looking for that special puppy. We even had our eye on one little girl, but we reached out too late — she had already found a home.
  About 10 days later, I came across a post and saw her... Without a second thought, I messaged the woman who posted it, asked about the puppies, and realized that no one had taken this beautiful girl home yet. I immediately knew she was our dog. Just a week later, the little one was with us and had become a true member of the family.
  She’s now 9 months old — a wonderful, smart, and happy dog. My dog. If you dream of having a dog or are thinking about adopting a puppy from a shelter, it may be challenging at first. But in the end, every bit of effort is worth it.

• It took me so long to accept the fact that I’m somber, slow-moving, and not into being super active or having a lot of fun. I’m not spontaneous, I don’t have that lightness that draws me to other people so much.
