Oppo Pad Mini Debuts in India: A ₹94,999 Compact Android Powerhouse

by · Nokiamob

Oppo has introduced the Pad Mini, an 8.8-inch Android tablet designed to challenge Apple’s dominance in the compact computing market with flagship-grade silicon and a specialized display. Positioning itself as a premium, highly portable productivity tool, the device packs an 8,000mAh battery and a high-refresh-rate screen into a chassis just 5.46mm thick.

The hardware centerpiece is the 8.8-inch 2.5K (2520 × 1680) OLED panel. It features a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Oppo opted for a matte finish over standard glossy glass, specifically to cut down on environmental glare and provide a textured, paper-like resistance for stylus input.

Internally, the tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, bringing near-flagship 2026 performance to a smaller form factor. The system runs on Android 16 via Oppo’s ColorOS 16 and includes Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Power delivery is handled by a 67W wired charging system. For photography and video conferencing, the device relies on a straightforward 13-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Oppo Pad Mini will be available in India starting October 29 through Flipkart and Oppo’s official online storefront. The company is offering the tablet in a single Lavender colorway with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at ₹94,999.

While the compact design and anti-glare display make it a strong candidate for note-taking, reading, and mobile media consumption, prospective buyers may want to wait for independent testing to see if the real-world battery endurance and display quality justify the premium ₹94,999 price tag.
