Samsung rolls out One UI 9 and Android 17 to Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 Globally

Samsung has begun rolling out stable One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the United States. The update arrived in South Korea last week and is now reaching US devices in stages.

Which phones are receiving it?

The update has been spotted on AT&T’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 and on Galaxy Z Fold 7 devices connected to T-Mobile and Verizon. Reports indicate that both carrier-locked and factory-unlocked models are included, although availability can vary by network and device.

For carrier-locked US versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the update carries firmware version F966USQUCCZIH. Other carriers and countries may receive it later, but Samsung has not provided a timetable for each market.

How to check for the update

On either phone, open Settings → Software update → Download and install. If the update is available, follow the on-screen instructions and restart the device when prompted.

If One UI 9.0 does not appear yet, it may simply not have reached your phone. Staged rollouts can take time, even when another user with the same model has already received the update.
