Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G Brings 10,000mAh Battery to Global Markets

Oppo is quietly pushing its most enduring mid-range smartphone onto the global stage. Initially launched in China in August 2026, the Oppo A7 Pro Max 5G has now officially debuted in Austria, Malaysia, and Thailand, bringing an unprecedented level of battery endurance to the international mid-tier market.

The device’s defining feature is its colossal 10,000mAh battery—one of the largest capacities currently available in a mainstream smartphone. Utilizing advanced silicon-carbon battery technology, the cell is designed to resist long-term degradation and retain maximum capacity over thousands of charge cycles. It supports 80W wired fast charging, which Oppo claims can fully replenish the massive battery in approximately 90 minutes. Additionally, the phone supports 27W reverse charging, allowing it to function as a high-speed power bank for other devices.

Despite housing such a massive power cell, the A7 Pro Max 5G avoids feeling like a brick. The device measures 163 × 78 × 8.6 mm and weighs a manageable 224 grams. It also boasts an elite IP69K rating, ensuring maximum resistance against dust and high-pressure water jets.

The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel featuring a crisp 2,772 × 1,272 resolution, a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits for strong outdoor visibility. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and fast UFS 3.1 internal storage. The handset runs on Android 16 layered with Oppo’s ColorOS 16.

The camera system is decidedly modest compared to the battery specs. The rear setup features a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) paired with a 2MP monochrome depth sensor, while a 50MP shooter handles selfies. Video recording caps out at 1080p at 30 frames per second on both the front and rear cameras. However, the camera module makes a bold visual statement, adopting a wide plateau design reminiscent of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, complete with a customizable, multi-color “Breathing Light” notification ring.

Other standard features include an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and NFC support.

Pricing and memory configurations vary significantly by region. In Austria, the 6GB RAM/256GB storage variant retails for €599 (approximately $688). Meanwhile, Malaysia and Thailand offer the superior 8GB RAM/256GB storage model for MYR 2,299 (~$563) and THB 19,999 (~$600), respectively. The device is available in two colorways: Surfing Blue and Lunar Black.
