Following a steady stream of teasers, Vivo has officially circled October 6 on the calendar for the Indian launch of its highly anticipated V80 smartphone. Billed as a substantial generational leap, the upcoming V-series handset aims to deliver a premium, photography-first experience alongside record-breaking battery life.

At the center of the V80 is a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display engineered to adapt flawlessly to any environment. The screen pushes a fluid 144Hz refresh rate and reaches a blistering local peak brightness of 5,000 nits, guaranteeing crisp visibility in direct sunlight. At the other end of the spectrum, the panel can dim to a minimum brightness of just 1 nit for comfortable viewing in total darkness. Supported by a 1.07-billion color depth, the display promises a visually immersive and seamless user experience.

Staying true to the V-series pedigree, mobile photography remains the marquee feature.
